You will NEVER guess where we just found some TASTY chicken tenders in Disney World!
While there is something comforting about the chicken tenders you can find across Disney World property, we just tried some wonderful chicken tenders in an unlikely place!
Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew just debuted CHICKEN TENDERS. That’s right, you can grab crispy chicken tenders from a restaurant that specializes in donuts and coffee. Of course, we had to stop by to give them a try, and we are taking you all along with us!
Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew is located on the West Side of Disney Springs. It is tucked back behind the AMC Theatres and Splitsville. You could easily walk by it, but it is hard to miss the huge donut on top of the building if you catch a glimpse.
You can choose from a couple of different options for the chicken tenders. You can grab a Chicken & Donut for $9, which includes a chicken tender, glazed donut, and dipping sauce. If you are looking for even more, you can grab the Chicken Little Combo for $13, which is 2 tenders, fries, mini glazed donut, and dipping sauce. The Big Chicken Combo is $18 and includes 3 tenders, fries, a mini glazed donut, and dipping sauce.
Or, you can grab the Hot Honey Chicken Combo for $18, which includes 3 tenders tossed in hot honey garlic sauce, fries, and a mini glazed donut. Finally, if you are in a sandwich mood, you can grab The Funky Chicken for $15, which is made of chicken tenders, ranch slaw, BBQ, spicy may, and B&B pickles.
We decided to try out the Chicken & Donut ($9) and the Hot Honey Chicken Combo ($18). You can choose from five dipping sauces, which include honey mustard, Korean BBQ, classic buffalo, hot honey garlic, ranch, and BBQ sauce. We opted for the honey mustard and Korean BBQ sauces.
The chicken tenders look amazing! We couldn’t wait to dive in and try them and decide whether chicken tenders from a donut shop is the way to go. Let’s start with the Chicken & Donut, which comes with one jumbo tender, a full-sized glazed donut, and a dipping sauce.
This is the only option to get a full-sized donut; all the other combos come with a mini donut. Of course, you can always order a full-sized donut to go along with your combo, too! Without further ado, how are these chicken tenders? Pretty delicious! We were so impressed with how yummy the chicken tender was. It was juicy on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. The breading was excellent and well-seasoned — although you end up dipping it in a sauce anyway. Sections of the breading were thicker, but overall, we felt like there was a great amount of breading.
The donut tastes like the classic glazed donut you might get from Krispy Kreme or similar. It was fluffy, sweet, and a fantastic glazed donut. With this box, you can choose whether you want to enjoy the items separately or make a donut sandwich out of it. We will say that with only one tender and a normal-sized donut, you won’t have the most full donut sandwich, but it is definitely doable. The honey mustard was exactly what you would hope for. It was sweet, tangy, and had a good amount of mustard flavor.
Now, let’s try the Hot Honey Chicken Combo for $18. With this combo, you get 3 jumbo tenders tossed in hot honey garlic sauce, fries, and a mini glazed donut. We also got a Korean BBQ dipping sauce. This thing is packed full of food and we can’t wait to taste test!
The chicken tenders are the same as in the Chicken & Donut, except they are tossed in hot honey garlic sauce. They weren’t completely covered in sauce, but you could definitely taste the sweet honey and a slight bit of spice.
We did like that the spice wasn’t overpowering from the hot honey. We wish they had more hot honey garlic sauce on them, but you can always get a hot honey garlic dipping sauce to get more sauce coverage.
The fries aren’t anything special, but they are still very tasty! They are your classic crinkle-cut fries with a light seasoning on them. There is saltiness and a bit of smokiness, and of course, you can always dip them in your dipping sauce, too. They also had a good crunch on the outside, so they were definitely some yummy fries.
The donut is just like the full-sized one with the Chicken & Donut, except it is a cute little mini donut. But still fluffy and sweet. We really liked the Korean BBQ sauce. It was the more unique sauce of the two. It had a bit of spice, was very tangy, and had a bit of smokiness to it.
Of course, we also had to try making a donut chicken tender sandwich with the mini donut and the hot honey tenders. Let’s just say this is a winning combo!
Not only was it much easier to manage than the full-sized donut, but the hot honey, chicken tenders, and donut worked together really well. The sweetness of the donut, the slight spice from the hot honey, and the savory flavors from the chicken tenders. We definitely recommend this!
Overall, we were SO impressed by the chicken tenders from Everglazed! If you are looking for a delicious alternative to Disney World chicken tenders, you need to stop by to try these out. Or if you are in Disney Springs and want some fantastic tenders, Everglazed is the place to be!
