Welcome to Hollywood!
There is so much happening in the movie-themed park thanks to major Muppet Courtyard changes, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s upcoming retheme, and two new shows heading to the stage soon! Recently, Hollywood Studios had us even more surprised with special friends greeting us at the gate.
“Is there anything better than rare Disney characters saying hi in the parks?” We spotted several surprise friends greeting guests as they headed into the theme park, and we couldn’t have been more excited!

Outside of the park gates, we spotted Stitch, Mr. Smee, Captain Hook, and Meeko welcoming guests into the park.
Hi Stitch!
This was such a fun and special surprise because we very rarely see any Disney friends greeting in this spot. We talked with Stitch quite a bit who was having extra fun with the camera.

Captain Hook knew exactly how to pose and it made us even more excited for the new Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After show which is coming soon to Hollywood Studios.

Of course, Captain Hook needed his sidekick Mr. Smee to help watch out for any sneaky crocodiles.

And Meeko was there just looking for some mischievous fun. We spoke to the character attendants who shared that the characters were just “out today looking for pixie dust” and that it was a very special day.

This is just an example of Disney adding special and fun things when it’s least expected! Don’t anticipate that these friends will be there to greet you on your next trip to Hollywood Studios, but this is a good lesson to always keep your eyes peeled in the theme parks.
