We also track menu changes in Disney World, and anytime a menu change goes through, we look into it. However, one menu change recently made at Tiffins in Disney’s Animal Kingdom just got our attention: It’s a Prix Fixe option for Tiffins Signature Burger. BUT…we think if you’re considering ordering this, you might want to read this first.
So, when we were looking at recent menu changes in Disney World, we noticed that Tiffins had a new option under “Main Course.” It’s the Tiffins Signature Burger Prix Fixe for $39. This includes the Tiffins Signature Burger, Waffle Fries, Dessert, and a choice of a non-alcoholic beverage offering. Now, at first, that might seem like a good deal. That burger is pretty tasty, after all.

You can add a “Black Truffle Experience” of Shaved Black Truffles, Truffle Aïoli, Herb and Truffle Cordero Cheese Waffle Fries for an additional $15. That’s pretty steep for an upgrade, but if you’re into truffles…

Before this change, you could get the Tiffins Signature Burger with seasoned waffle fries for $29. So, we did the math. If you added the most expensive dessert to that option, it would have cost $44, so this looks like you’re saving about $5 if you want dessert.

Now, here’s what we want to warn you about: If you’re using the Disney Dining Plan, this is just not going to be a great use of your credits. Tiffin’s is a signature dining location, which means it will cost you two of your table-service credits to eat here. Now, DO NOT get us wrong — we LOVE Tiffin’s, and we love this burger (here’s our most recent review of it). BUT, you’re not getting much bang for your buck using two table-service credits on a $39 meal. You’ll do better paying out of pocket for this delicious burger and fries, or going with a more expensive entree if you’re using your DDP credits — like the Moroccan Short Rib Tangine we’ve loved in the past.

We just ate here on friday 1/24 and we tried asking for just the burger. They told us the only way to get it was with the prix fix hopefully that changes.
I just ate there yesterday. I think the description from Tiffins might have been too vague. I ordered the prix fixe and was served waffle fries with the burger, drink, and the dessert.
This irks me. I really hate prix fixe! I’m not going to pay more for things I don’t want. I really loved that burger on our trip but now I won’t be back unless this changes.
