REVIEW: Um, Disney? WHAT Is This Peanut Butter Concoction You Just Made, and Can We Have 10 More?

At the same time, you can also purchase classic eats everyone knows and loves. Treats range from desserts at quick service restaurants to table service restaurants, and you can even find snacks in some of the gift shops. So, yeah, food is pretty much EVERYWHERE in Disney’s theme parks. This time, we’re back to talk about something NEW, and this treat we just found at Downtown Disney’s newest store is unlike anything we’ve EVER seen before.

Over at Disney’s Wonderful World of Sweets shop, you’ll find more sweets than your eyes (and stomach) can take in at one time. There’s so much to look at and explore; it can feel a little overwhelming. While we were checking out the store recently, something caught our eye that had us doing a double take — a Peanut Butter-Flavored Mickey Waffle Treat. WHATTTT?!

We know; we were a little confused (and scared), too, but we’d never seen it anywhere else, which meant it was time to try it. The recommended serving size is 1/4 of this treat (so four servings in total), and it’s $15.49. The treat inside is a decent size, so be prepared for a BIG treat.

The “waffle” in all its glory

So, what does this thing even taste like? Well, it’s quite literally just one big piece of Mickey Waffle-shaped peanut butter. The peanut butter flavor was sweet and smooth, it wasn’t too rich or artificial tasting. Honestly, it reminded us a lot of the sweet peanut butter flavor you’d get inside of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup or Reese’s Pieces!

It may look small, but it packs a punch!

The texture was a bit harder than what you’d get from the center of a Reese’s Cup, but still easy to chew. The price does seem kinda steep, but you do get a lot of peanut butter, so we feel like it is definitely something to share! So to be clear, other than the shape, there is nothing “waffle” about this not — not the texture and not the taste. It’s essentially a large piece of a peanut butter fudge-like confection that’s shaped like a Mickey Waffle.

Beware: ears may break

Would we recommend it? Well, if you love peanut butter and Reese’s Cups specifically, then go for it! Otherwise, we think there are lots of better snacks out there that aren’t as expensive and may appease more palettes.
