Several attractions at Disneyland are currently closed for refurbishment, but two will be reopening soon.
Disneyland Monorail
The Disneyland Monorail closed on January 6th, 2025 and the Disneyland Railroad closed on January 13th. These two classic attractions are undergoing refurbishment and won’t be available to guests again until later this year. Luckily, Disney recently shared their opening date, and it’s not too far away!
Both the Disneyland Monorail and Disneyland Railroad will be opening on March 7th, 2025! You’ll once again get to be transported around Disneyland by these attractions soon.
Disneyland Train
These aren’t the only attractions at Disneyland currently closed for refurbishment. On April 16th, 2024, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln closed for an extended refurbishment to add a brand-new show “Walt Disney — A Magical Life.”

“it’s a small world” is also closed at Disneyland and will remain closed until the spring.

Jolly Holiday Bakery Café is also currently closed at Disneyland with no known reopening date.

It will be great to have the iconic Disneyland Monorail and Disneyland Railroad open once again on March 7th! The Disneyland Monorail takes you through the entire resort, including Downtown Disney, Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. You can take a tour of Disneyland Park on the historic Disneyland Railroad and see Walt’s famous Lilly Belle locomotive.
