Disney's Iconic Napa Rose Restaurant Announces Multi-Month CLOSURE

Some MAJOR changes are coming to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Disney just announced that one of the hotel’s popular restaurants is set to close this spring while the space is remodeled.

The iconic Napa Rose restaurant, which serves “refined California cuisine,” is set to get a makeover! Disney just dropped a TON of announcements about some upcoming changes at its hotels, and we’re expecting some fun new dining options. Here’s what we know so far!

Disney just announced that three hotels at Disneyland Resort are CHANGING. Look out for two all-new concierge lounges, new decorations in the hotel rooms, new themed suites, and a newly refurbished version of the Napa Rose restaurant. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is getting some updates!

Soon, Napa Rose will temporarily close while Disney updates the restaurant. Disney revealed that Napa Rose will be remodeled with a new interior and patio. Check out the concept art below!

The restaurant will close temporarily this spring, though we’re still waiting for an exact closing date. Disney explained that the restaurant “will have a rustic elegance and will be a tapestry of California’s storied history of wine and winemaking, using natural textures such as reclaimed French oak flooring and columns (a type of wood used to make wine barrels), hand-pinged artisan metals, leathers, deep colors of cabernet, and an eye-catching chandelier inspired by California’s Mission grapevines.”

Imagineers will expand the counters where guests can watch the action at the restaurant’s exhibition kitchen. Additionally, the patio will be updated to add more seating, and two new fireplaces will be installed. That way, you can dine outside even when it’s a little chilly outside!

The restaurant is expected to reopen in fall 2025. Look out for a new menu, too! Luckily, Disney confirmed Napa Rose will still serve fan favorites like the Smiling Tiger Salad and will still offer an impressive wine collection of more than 1,500 labels.
