Something NEW just arrived at Downtown Disney, and, trust us, you’re gonna LOVE it. Remember the old Marceline’s Confectionery shop? Well, it’s got a whole new look and name. Come with us to check out the brand-new Disney Wonderful World of Sweets shop, opening on January 22nd!

Wonderful World of Sweets
This reimagined sweets shop serves classic Disney treats, like churro toffee, caramel apples, Mickey Krispy Treats, Marshmallow Wands, sour balls, lollipops, and (our favorite!!!) freshly-made Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn. YAY! We got an exclusive preview of the NEW shop ahead of its grand opening, so let’s take a peek inside!
Welcome to the Disney Wonderful World of Sweets shop! As you can see, this place is bright, colorful, and packed with detail. The store debuted with new decorations, new Cast Member costumes, and new souvenirs. How exciting!

Here’s a closer look inside.

It’s so pretty inside!
From the swirly lollipop details on the ceiling to the enticing candy displays, there’s a lot to look at here. We barely know where to begin!

Disney Wonderful World of Sweets in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort features new confectionery treats such as freshly made Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn, caramel apples and churro toffee. Its exhibition kitchens are viewable from the promenade and inside the shop. Sweet new characters featured in the location include Poppi the popcorn bucket and cake pops named Jimmi, Fluffi, Bonni and Lolli. (Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort)
Since this is the Disney FOOD Blog, let’s start with the food. Can you tell what we’re most excited about? The POPCORN! But this isn’t just any old popcorn. It’s the Werther’s Original Caramel Popcorn, which you might recognize if you’ve ever visited Karamell-Küche in EPCOT. (And yes, we checked. It’s the same recipe as the stuff in Florida. PHEW!) This stuff is warm, fresh, buttery, salty, and LOADED with that signature Werther’s caramel. We dream about this popcorn. It’s heavenly.

Our favorite popcorn is HERE!
This place also has some other FUN menu options, like Caramel Apples and Mickey Rice Krispie Treats.

Look at all those treats!
Of course, no Disney sweets shop is complete without a mascot! This is Poppi, the store mascot and newest character featured on a Disney popcorn bucket!

Elsewhere, look out for an exhibition kitchen that will give you the chance to see the adorable treats as they are created.

How cool is this?!
