Universal’s Epic Universe theme park officially opens on May 22nd, 2025 and we are SO HYPED.
Five lands will make up this new park: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe, and we’re dishing everything you need to know about the restaurants coming to each land!
A TON of new restaurants are opening at Universal’s brand-new Epic Universe theme park and we’ve got the rundown on each one! Let’s get into it.
Celestial Park
Atlantic
Atlantic will present full-service “surf and turf” dining inside a Victorian aquarium featuring beautiful views of Celestial Park (the land that will serve as the central hub of Epic Universe).
Universal describes Atlantic as “an undersea culinary fantasy,” where “starfish dwell peacefully with serene, illuminated fish swimming above you.” The specialties of the house are steak and seafood, and guests will also be welcome to enjoy a cocktail at the Aquaria Bar.
The Oak & Star Tavern
We don’t have many details about The Oak & Star Tavern other than the fact that it will serve BARBECUE! We can’t wait to check it out.
The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant
Located in Celestial Park (which will serve as the central hub of Epic Universe), The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant will present flavors of Asia with authentic Chinese, Japanese, and Thai meals in a full-service fashion.
Universal says that guests will “Step inside a bustling courtyard, where it’s always evening under the glow of ethereal lanterns” where “dazzling neon dragons chase across the walls.”
Pizza Moon
If you’re looking for pizza when you’re at Epic Universe, you’ll find it at Pizza Moon! We don’t have many details about this spot yet either but stay tuned.
Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets
Craving something sweet? Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets is where you’ll want to stop. Stay tuned for our full review!
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
Toadstool Cafe
Toadstool Cafe will bring similar food options and themed dining experiences to Universal Orlando Resort as those that have wowed guests at the Hollywood and Japanese versions of the land, including specialized themed meals, snacks, and desserts.
You can check out our review of the Toadstool Cafe at Universal Studios Hollywood right here to get an idea of what sort of items will be on the menu!
Yoshi’s Snack Island
Universal shares that Yoshi’s Snack Island will offer “delicious treats, snacks and beverages.”
Turbo Boost Treats
Turbo Boost Treats will join Toadstool Cafe and Yoshi’s Snack Island as Super Nintendo World’s dining options and will serve up more snacks!
Dark Universe
Das Stakehaus
Found in Dark Universe, Das Stakehaus is a quick-service restaurant within Dark Universe themed around an “old inn and dining hall built over the ruins of ancient catacombs.”
The menu will feature burgers, kebabs, sandwiches, and more. (The name is not only a play on the Eastern European setting of vampire lore, but a literal play on words — “stake” instead of “steak” as it relates to vampires is a fiendishly funny double entendre!)
The Burning Blade Tavern
Found in Dark Universe, The Burning Blade Tavern is a quick-service restaurant that pays homage to the iconic windmill from Universal’s 1931 classic Frankenstein! The Tavern will give diners the chance to eat in an “old mill which Darkmoor Village’s monster hunters have transformed into their hangout.”
Surrounded by trophy heads of conquered monsters, diners will be able to enjoy a menu of burgers, pretzels, wings, bratwurst, and specialty beverages while they listen to tales of victory from the hunters themselves!
De Lacey’s Cottage
De Lacey’s Cottage will serve ice cream, cinnamon bread, and more. Along with these sweet snacks will be a famous savory snack from Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights event: Twisted Taters! Located near Frankenstein Manor, this snack stand pays homage to the place where Frankenstein’s Monster received friendship and sustenance.
How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk
Mead Hall
How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk will invite guests into Mead Hall, where they can “feast like a Viking and enjoy a savory menu featuring a variety of meats, fish, sandwiches, and more along with a collection of meads and ciders.”
It sounds like a good time — we can’t wait to check it out!
Spit Fyre Grill
How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk will be home to Spit Fyre Grill, a quick service spot featuring hearty flame-seared meals.
Spit Fyre Grill will be housed near Isle of Berk’s Fyre Drill water attraction… and, in fact, it will overlook the ride!
Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel
For a quick bite, you can head to the racing-themed Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel food stand when the park opens on May 22, 2025! How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk will house a Viking Training Camp… and Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel will be right nearby to feed guests who work up an appetite there!
Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic
Le Gobelet Noir
Le Gobelet Noir will be located “In the shadowy corners of Place Cachée, where international Dark witches and wizards gather to escape the prying eyes of the Paris Ministry and have a hearty meal over hushed conversation.”
This spot will offer starters such as soups and salads and a variety of entrées and desserts.
Café L’air De La Sirène
Café L’Air De La Sirène is described as a “charming café where guests can delight in French sandwiches, plats du jour and desserts” coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic. This spot will offer both indoor and outdoor dining, with a menu full of French baked goods, sandwiches, plats du jour, and desserts.
Oh, and great news, Potter fans — they’ll serve Butterbeer! One of the things we’re most looking forward to, though, is the dessert displays “constructed of almost 2,000 decorative individual cream puffs.”
Bar Moonshine
Order up an exclusive beer, wine, or cocktail served amid U.S. Quidditch team pennants and other items of wizarding Americana at Bar Moonshine in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic!
K. Rammelle
There will be no shortage of French treats and delights to enjoy in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic! For instance, you can stop by Les Galeries Mirifiques and visit a French confectionery shop, K. Rammelle.
We can’t WAIT to check out these new restaurants once they officially open at Epic Universe. In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for the latest Epic Universe updates, Disney news, and more. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog so you don’t miss any more news!
Will you be checking out Epic Universe once it opens? Tell us in the comments.
I’m curious if the sit down restaurants will take reservations and how far in advance can you make them? DFB, any clues?
Hi Pris! No word yet, but we’re keeping an eye on it.
Well, I’m reading 180 out from your vacation start date. I will be testing that very soon. Mid April will be 180 out for me.
