He’s mischievous. He’s sassy. He’s also the sweetest and most lovable alien in Disney World. Stitch is a Disney icon!

Stitch!
Over the past few years, it seems like Disney REALLY leaned into the Stitch craze. It felt like everywhere you turned, Stitch was there. He was taking over Cinderella Castle (yes, he really did cover it with toilet paper), attacking snacks, and crashing other Disney stories. But could 2025 mark a new era? We found an interesting sign that could indicate Disney is FINALLY ditching Stitch.
For a little background, Disney likes to create 12-part merchandise collections that release one month at a time. There was the Stitch Attacks Snacks collection…

…and even a Stitch Crashes Disney collection. This was a weird one.

But this year, Disney is FINALLY moving away from the Stitch collections. In fact, in a new 2025 merchandise preview, we learned that a Winnie the Pooh Pin of the Month Series will debut in January! Each month throughout 2025, Disney will release another pin to add to the collection. You can see a sneak peek at a few of the designs below!

Looking more closely, it looks like Pooh will join his Hundred Acre Wood friends on all sorts of adventures. We can’t wait to see the full collection!

The map also has some yet-to-be-revealed designs, and if you look closely, it looks like there could be a Tigger pin in the collection!

We love ya, Stitch, but it feels SO GOOD to see a different character take the lead for 2025. Does this mean more Winnie the Pooh merchandise is on the way? We’ll have to wait and see. Considering Disney just released these…unique hats (and they SOLD OUT online), it seems like people are really into Winnie the Pooh right now.

The stitch crashes was meant remind people of when stitch came out. They set up an sd campain where stitch crashed other movies the pins are the same movies he crashed then in short clips. So there not weird if you actually know what there about.
Last i hear stitch and angel are still very popular in paris. Not sure about other countries. And here. Stitch stuff still very popular. As a fan of stitch i can honrstly say i dont think that are gling away from him.
As pin collector am extcited for the new pooh pin set.
Do not get rid of stitch. We love stitch. He’s so cute. He’s a bad boy and there are too many good. You need a balance.
Hi I’m a little bit confused about stitch leaving ? is it only the merchandise that is going away or the real Lifesize character please give an explanation
People love Stitch more then the other Characters. That’s why he sells another dumb mistake by Disney.
Hi John. The article is in reference to the Stitch merchandise.
Hi Tina! The character isn’t going anywhere. The article was in reference to all the Stitch merchandise.
There’s a live action Lilo & Stitch coming, and the associated avalanche of merchandise. They aren’t ditching Stitch at all.
We love Stitch, and we love Pooh. It’s great to see Winnie and friends getting some enhanced presence in the merch. And, as much as we love Stitch, it’s nice to think that Disney may be taking a break from trying to wear him out. I think Disney was trying to make people tired of Stitch, but I don’t think it worked (good). I can imagine various reasons why Disney would resent such a money-maker, but it’s self-defeating. My family has had Disney traditions since before I was born, but Disney has done a lot to dent almost all their loyalties one way or another. Really ditching Stitch completely (if it happens) might be the last straw for me.
Stich’s live action movie is coming. Marketing and merchandise will be coming.
#SaveStitch
Will they be coming out with the frame and map too?
Would be a bit weird considering the live action movie coming? I also don’t understand the continued prevalence of Pooh. ?
He’s cute but with the way Disney is headed at the parks, you’d think they’d be in a hurry to replace him and his ride with some inane modern IP like everything else.
Everyone.STITCH IS NOT GOING AWAY!!! Please read the article again (or actually read it instead of looking at the the title and assuming). The only Stitch going away is the “Stitch takes over…” merchandise. “Stitch takes over…” was the theme for 2024 but Pooh will be the theme for 2025. Stitch is NOT going away!!
