Being a Disney World fan can be overwhelming. You never know when new restaurants, rides, or rethemed classics will pop up since Disney is always trying to keep things interesting and exciting for us.
The EPCOT transformation is the latest example of an interesting and exciting change, but that doesn’t mean Disney is ready to stop anytime soon. We just found some new clues that more construction projects are on their way to the parks and beyond!
We’re always on the hunt for the latest construction permits filed by Disney to get an idea of what sort of changes might be coming to the parks, and we found a few you might want to know about this time around!
Heads up if you plan on dining at Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom anytime soon! You might just see a new sign or two. We spotted a permit to install new signage at an address that matches up with this counter-service spot. Hmm…suddenly we’re craving fried shrimp and hush puppies. What could that be about?!
Another new permit has been filed for work in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT. Apparently, some kitchen nozzles are in need of modification, according to the description of the permit.
Unfortunately, we can’t see the exact location of the work as the address listed on the permit is for the entire pavilion. Chances are this won’t impact your trip in any serious way, but you might run into a food or beverage location not being totally operational. In the meantime, we’ll let you know if we learn of any lengthy closures.
And finally, the Downhill Double Dipper Water Slide is getting some love according to a new Blizzard Beach permit we found. This water park has been closed for refurbishment while Typhoon Lagoon remains open. The description of the work at the water slide is for “general construction,” so we’ll likely have to wait until the park reopens to check out any potential changes.
No matter when you might be heading to Disney World next, you can be sure we’ll be on the hunt for the latest updates so you can be prepared! In the meantime, don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for all your Disney news needs!
