If you are planning a trip to Disney World, you may find yourself traveling through the Orlando International Airport, or MCO for short. This is the closest airport to all of the Disney World action, and millions of travelers fly through this airport each year.
We are always keeping an eye out for route changes and additions, and we have also seen airlines, like Breeze, expand operations at MCO. Now, another airline is adding a new route out of Orlando International Airport, and we are here to tell you about it!
Discover Airlines is the Lufthansa Group’s quality leisure airline, and they just announced that they will be starting a new route out of Orlando next year. This route will begin on March 3rd, 2025, and will connect Munich and Orlando. There will be three weekly direct flights between the two destinations on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This is the first time that Discover Airlines will be offering this route.
This route addition comes as Discover Airlines is significantly expanding their operations in the Munich Airport. It is always great to see new options being added at the Orlando International Airport. There are lots of airlines to choose from to get in and out of Disney World, and it is important to research the options available. Some of the biggest carriers in Orlando include Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and Delta Airlines, but also take a look at flights from other carriers. You never know where you might find the best deal.
If you are traveling through Orlando International Airport, we do have a few tips. Follow the 3-2-1 Rule, which means arriving to the airport at least three hours before your flight, heading to security at least two hours before, and arriving at the gate at least one hour prior to departure. As well, take advantage of reserved parking at Parking Garage C, and reserve a spot in security ahead of time through MCO Reserve powered by CLEAR. Also, make sure you download the Orlando International Airport app and the app for the airline you are flying on. Also, check out our video with 50 tricks to make travel easier:
