SPOILER ALERT, Y’ALL!!! We have the full ride-through video of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
The new attraction in Magic Kingdom has replaced Splash Mountain and features a storyline that’s a sequel to Princess and the Frog. We’ve been watching the construction for many months and soaking up all the details Disney has released, but now we’re finally taking you on a full ride-through!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure officially opens on June 28th, but we got the chance to see the full ride thanks to a video Disney posted on YouTube! This video shows us a full POV of the ride, from the first hill to the finale scene. I won’t give too many spoilers in here, but I will say this — one character from the film is conspicuously missing… .
Check out the video below for a full ride-through of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
And if you’re ready to ride, don’t forget to grab our commemorative t-shirt for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Looks like Disney nailed it. I am impressed. Can’t wait to see it in person.
I am at a loss for words. Disney continues to lose the magic.
This is a sad and boring remake of a once great ride. Where is the story? Most of the scenes are identical. Should be named Tiana’s bayou(?) lackluster Adventure to nowhere. What were you thinking? A bayou in a mountain??????
Looks boring. Like the original ride much better!
Wow that was bad. The whole ride made no sense.
Here’s my take. The old Splash Mountain had a stronger theme, more interesting characters, and better music. The new one looks really boring and made no sense. It’s just a big party. Don’t care for the music. I don’t know why the people (the riders) shrank and grew again. To be honest, I’d convert the whole darn ride into one with dinosaurs. That would blow either one of the previous ride version away. Just saying. Look at Universals new dinosaur ride in Japan. Wow! Now that’s a ride.
Boring!
Walt’s principle about the “Park not being complete” however Walt’s unwritten rule….if we are replacing something that works, we better make sure what we replace it with is as good or better than what we are replacing. Seems like Disney has forgotten this small detail.
If they renamed to Tiana’s LACK of Bayou Adventure – then they have a hit.
Saw them filming yesterday and the staging of it with the queue going in, then out, in and out. This went on and on, should have been a natural entry regardless of how it looked
Love watching the video and can’t wait to enjoy the ride. Did notice the dead tree with the long branch was kept. It was where the opossums used to hang by their tails. Would like to see a version taken during the daytime hours to see if there were any other items were kept around that location.
So we lost Splash Mountain for the same song if the south based ride only with different characters.
This looks amazing! I can’t wait to ride in October!
Oh no! I’ve been dreading this lol! I want to watch this so bad! But I really want my first look to be in person.
But that won’t be until April ??
I guess it’s time to see how much will power I have! Wish me luck
Absolutely adorable!! Do your feet get wet? Does the ride vehicle fill up with water?
Given the time this was down it’s not really much of an overhaul, some of the animatronics are excellent but a lot of them are as basic as they were during the original splash mountain, it also seems to be quite dull but then watching videos of the original ride could also be dull as well as by nature these are slow moving vehicles so I won’t hold that against it until I get a chance to ride. Looking forward to seeing it for myself
Over the years, Disney has made changes to attractions, resorts and other areas. Not all, I can say have been for the better. Downtown Disney to Disney Springs was a homerun. I was not for this change but…Wow! For this attraction, I prefer Splash Moutain. And I can base that simply on watching a video of both. IMO, the story telling, and that music was uplifting and iconic. After you exit Splash Moutain. You are left with that final scene and song, Zip-A-Dee-Do-Da. That placed a smile on your face and the music that stayed with you. I will go on this attraction with my grandsons again. Because the ride remains the same. Just not happy about the change in story and music. That’s My2Ctns. What say you.
Most of the Tiana and Louie animatronics are pretty impressive, but not up to what we just saw at Fantasy Springs, but I’m happy there are at least no screen faces. Music is great, but I am partial to New Orlean’s jazz, although the finale song was really lacking and didn’t really give the big farewell punch that was needed, and that “Zip-A-Dee-Do-Da” always provided, not to mention sad that they could have put in a room full of animatronics 30+ years ago and have to make half of the characters screens today.
Other than that…kinda boring from what I saw. Getting veggies and some players for a party isn’t the most exciting of storylines and there was no danger or menace anywhere which is a staple of Disney rides which help bring the excitement, no moment where “things go wrong”. Even the big splash is anticlimactic and has no real part in the story. They also do one of my big pet peeves which is don’t tell me something is good (“this band is great!” “We’re really jumping now!”), trust them to stand on their own and if they can’t, fix it. Same with books & movies – show, don’t tell.
Overall, didn’t get me excited to go ride it which should have been the result.
First, it’s not as bad as was expected. The animatronics were excellent, what few of them that are there. TV screens instead of character development? Not my cup of tea.
I live a short distance from Nawlins and know what amazing music is created there. This music was flat out dumb. A visit to Preservation Hall? Well, THAT will set your toes a tappin’ and have you second linin’ around the chairs.
Where’s my Zip a Dee do da??
Not excited to ever ride.
Well, there’s my thoughts as well. I was not on the ride, it was during the night so it was a little difficult to see. However, from what I could see, the animatronics were nice. The salt mountain was a beautiful overlay. But the storyline from what I could tell, was all over the place. I thought it was supposed to be about finding a spice for Tiana. Is that correct?? I think I only heard that maybe twice in this video. Then we shrunk down into tiny insects???? Seriously??? What does that have to do with finding a spice???? Nothing! That part could have/should have been taken/left out of this ride. Just my honest opinion. Again, I haven’t ridden this ride yet. Thank you for reporting
I’d like to know why the Disney Food Blog is posting all of these “negative” comments about the “new ride.” I made a comment about the newer Walt Disney statue when it was first placed AND THE DISNEY FOOD BLOG DIDN’T POST IT! Instead, they gave me some song and dance and said that “they don’t post negative comments,” so I’m really confused why they posted all the unhappy reviews above!!! Any explanation?
Hi Holly! I searched your email address to see which comments you made that were not approved and there are no comments pending under your email address. Did you use a different email address? That’s the only way I can check to see why a comment wouldn’t have been approved, but if this is the email address you used, all of your comments have been approved. Please keep in mind that we generally read through comments once a day and are not here on the weekends so it may take time for your comments to be read and approved. We certainly allow negative comments as long as they are not insensitive, inaccurate, rumors, foul language or linguistically inappropriate for a wide audience and are not inflammatory or discriminatory in any way.
Gigi, I specifically said that there should be a box of Kleenex tissues and a tear coming down Walt Disney’s face after what Bob Chapek had done to this once great company. I did ask for an explanation as to why it wasn’t posted and did get a response. Apparently, it didn’t meet with your approval which was absolutely ridiculous based on all the negative comments I’m always reading on this website. Of course, that awful man, Chapek, is no longer there and what I said was incredibly true.
I would have approved that so I’m not sure when you left that comment since I can’t find it, but you’re always welcome to leave honest opinions here as long as they’re within the guidelines we have set. We like hearing different opinions from our readers as it helps us to gauge how they feel about certain topics so I’d encourage you to leave those comments, whether they’re positive or negative.
I took a screenshot of it Gigi where it specifically said it was waiting for moderation. The date was September 9, 2022. The comment read as follows…”The statue of Walt Disney should be of him crying with a box of Kleenex Tissues sitting next to him after seeing what Bob Chapek and the Board of Directors have done to his once beloved parks and vacation packages.” There is no reason why this should have been omitted. It isn’t any worse than all the other negative comments I have seen posted all over your website.
I’m sorry your comment wasn’t approved, Holly. I’m not seeing any reason why it should have been denied and this comment is being approved as well. I’ve gone back through the archives and I can’t find the old comment to approve it. Did you happen to use a different email address? I’ve even searched word for word with the text you provided but nothing is coming up. I am doing my best to try and approve that comment, but I can’t find it.
@holly, I don’t think this is a big deal. There are times when my comments get overlooked. They are busy and you are not the only person here reading and commenting. The back and forth is a little exhausting and quite frankly a bit elementary. @DFB GiGi does not have the time to go back and forth like this. Please have a good day and enjoy the other articles they have written.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Melanie. I truly appreciate you.
Yay, DFB Gigi
I adore Princess and the Frog, but this is BORING BORING BORING. Not just is there no story, the new song is just not good enough. Far too many scenes are just fence or plants – if they’re going to keep the possum tree, they need to put something on it! I’m horribly disappointed.
I could not agree any more. Boring with a capital B. I guess we just remember how the characters, storyline and music were in the original that makes Tiana just not compare. It’s really sad.
