This is NOT a drill, folks! There’s a new version of one of our favorite Disney World snacks, and you’ve absolutely GOT to try it.
Disney’s Contemporary Hotel
We all know how wonderful it feels to sit down on the Hub grass in front of Cinderella Castle and chow down on some corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner, right? Those nuggs might be a little basic, but the nostalgia factor makes them one of our favorite treats in the whole park. Now, there’s a NEW corn dog nugget dish just a Monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom, and it might be even BETTER than the OG (Yep, we said it. And we mean it!).
Thanks so much to DFB reader John for cluing us in to this new snack! When we heard about the new corn dog nuggets, we RAN to Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to try them out. (Well, we actually took the Monorail from Magic Kingdom…same thing.)
Contempo Café
The Chili-Cheese Corn Dog Nuggets are the classic nuggets covered in queso, mustard, green onions, and house-made chili. You can get them for $10.79.
Chili-Cheese Corn Dog Nuggets
As soon as we bit into the first nugget, Hannah Montana’s song “The Best of Both Worlds” started playing in our heads. It really is the best of both worlds with the normal corn dog nuggets and Disney’s chili (which can be found at several different counter-service restaurants throughout the parks). If you like those two things, you’ll LOVE this.

You get a pretty good amount of corn dog nuggets for the price, and they’re smothered in all of the toppings. Although it makes the breading around the nuggets pretty soft, it doesn’t completely compromise the integrity of the nuggets and you can still pick them up if you don’t mind getting a little messy. We opted to use a fork.
Note that if you really love the crispy outside of the corn dog nuggets, you won’t get that with this new snack, so you’ll want to stick to the normal version in Magic Kingdom.

Sometimes Disney gets these fun ideas to mix different snacks or try something weird and unique, and it doesn’t always work (remember the funnel cake hot dog at Casey’s Corner for Disney World’s 50th anniversary? Our team had mixed reviews, but personally I thought it was gross ?). Well, this is NOT one of those times. We think all the toppings and the nuggets together work really well!

Don’t tell Casey’s Corner we said this, but these new nuggets might just be worth leaving Magic Kingdom for! The Chili-Cheese Corn Dog Nuggets cost the SAME as the normal nuggets from Casey’s Corner (the ones without the chili, queso, and other toppings), so this new option is definitely more bang for your buck.
All we can say is that we know we’ll be back to get these again soon!
