There’s a lot of different food to explore in Disney World, but we’ve made it our mission to try it all.
Even as it changes month to month, and snacks get added and taken away, we’re keeping up with all the latest news so you know what you want to try on your next trip! We asked our readers on Facebook what food trends they’ve seen in Disney World that they HATE, and y’all didn’t hold back!
Paper Straws
Listen, we LOVE more than anything that Disney is being conscious toward the environment and going green. HOWEVER, these paper straws are not it.
The problem is that they fall apart in your mouth, and then not only can you drink your beverage, but you’ve got wet paper in your mouth, which is disgusting. We much prefer the sugarcane straws we see Joffrey’s using. They don’t have any taste to them, they stay in tact, AND they’re good for the environment!
If you’re not a fan of paper straws, we genuinely recommend bringing a reusable straw to the parks with you.
Excessive Amounts of Food Coloring
You know exactly what we’re talking about here — those Disney World snacks that for some reason have an OBSCENE amount of food coloring? So much so that you can TASTE it? Yep, we agree with you all that those are gross.
Some people actually have an allergy to certain food dyes, so using an excessive amount means a lot of these treats can’t be enjoyed by a group of people. Of course, not everything in Disney World will be safe for every single person to have, but we don’t like the taste of some of these items, so we 100% agree that this needs to be toned down.
This is especially for items that don’t make SENSE to have food dye, like bread. Please just leave our precious bread alone, Disney!
Turkey Legs
We all knew it was coming. We’re not joking, the third most popular answer on this post was turkey legs.
These snacks (what are we saying, it’s basically a meal) are as simple as they come — it’s turkey on a bone. That’s it. Except it’s pretty heavily salted and is very heavy on most people’s stomachs.
These are pretty divisive — you either love them or hate them, and there’s really no in between. If you love them, fantastic! Just please don’t get on Space Mountain right after in the same car as us.?
We’re always here to cover the latest snacks, drinks, meals, and everything in between in Disney World so you know what’s worth your money and what you may want to skip. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest news!
This is the ONE thing you must try from every restaurant in Magic Kingdom!
What’s your favorite and LEAST favorite snack in Disney World? Tell us in the comments!
What ever you do Disney, do not stop the Plastic Cheese, or any of the poutine dishes!
It is pretty simple if you do not like it do not eat it there are a loot of people who do love them, I personally think that all the alcohol being sold is a bit excessive
I agree with Danny. If you don’t like a restaurant or a food item or a snack item, don’t buy it or don’t buy it again. If it’s really bad, ask for a refund, but before you eat all of it in the hope that it will taste better.
I do listen and read the comments from DFB and fellow vacationers and often follow their advice on what to try at a festival booth or more importantly, what to avoid. Disney is the master at marketing. They know what is selling and what isn’t and will eventually adjust what they offer to Guest demand.
With the Food and Wine Festival coming up later this year, I would like to put in my request now for more Lambington from the Australia booth. And please bring back the lamb chop again this year! And Germany, more Bavarian bier, please. Prost!
