Verizon customers have a new chance to get Disney+ FOR FREE!

When Disney+ first launched in 2019, the company teamed with Verizon to offer Verizon customers a free initial year of the service, helping grow Disney’s subscriber base and market share substantially. Now, the companies are teaming up again to offer Disney’s latest bundle deal.
Verizon is offering current and new unlimited plan customers six months of free access if they upgrade to The Disney Bundle, which packages Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ in one streaming package. Following the free period, Verizon customers will be able to continue the service for $10 a month, an overall savings of $115 a year. The offer comes in the midst of a massive marketing push from Disney to familiarize Disney+ customers with Hulu content.

According to Disney Entertainment Executive VP of Platform Distribution Sean Breen, “Our ongoing collaboration with Verizon underscores our commitment to providing their customers with exceptional offers for our unrivaled streaming content. With this new promotional perk, we’re thrilled that Verizon customers will have access to best-in-class entertainment from Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.”

I looked into this and the catch is that this Disney Plus bundle is Disney Plus with ads. Those of us who subscribed to Disney Plus at launch have access to the Legacy Bundle, which includes Disney Plus without ads (though currently for $16 / month).
