Disney Confirmed Oogie Boogie Bash Is Returning This Year — Here's When Tickets Could Go On Sale

Alright, if you’re reading this, you’re probably itching to book a trip to Disneyland. You probably also LOVE Halloween, and when you combine those two things, you end up with one of the most popular Disney Halloween events EVER: Oogie Boogie Bash.

Who’s ready for Halloween?

This isn’t some cute little small-town fall festival. No, this is the big leagues, and Disney pulls out all the stops for Oogie Boogie Bash. The event has historically sold out QUICKLY, so you need to be ready to pull the trigger as soon as tickets are available. Now’s the time to start preparing!

In 2024, the Oogie Boogie Bash will be held on select nights between August 25th and October 31st. The event is hosted by none other than Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and he’s accompanied by several other beloved Disney villains. During the party, you can dress up in a costume and experience party-exclusive entertainment along with access to Disney attractions, exclusive treats, photo-ops, and other activities.

The Trick-or-Treat Trails are one of the most popular parts of the event. This is where you can spot some ultra-rare characters as you walk through a spooky scene and enjoy some candy. Last year, we got to meet Judge Doom and Yokai and yes, it was epic. You may even see a zombie Captain America or Sid from Toy Story! Once the villains are announced for this year, we will be sure to let you know. Disney usually has really fun ways of teasing that information!

Don’t forget to make time for the Frightfully Fun Parade, tour the Villains Grove maze filled with villainous scenes, and enjoy plenty of treats, too! Clearly, there’s a LOT to do at this event. So, where do we sign up?

Ticket prices this year range from $134 to $189. These prices will range based on which date you visit the party. The month you attend, crowds, and days of the week will all impact the cost.

We’re still waiting for a full look at the 2024 Oogie Boogie Bash calendar, but note that the first party will start on August 25th. Last year, Magic Key Holders got to buy tickets through a pre-sale on June 28th. The tickets sold out quickly, so be prepared for them to sell out again this year. Tickets then became available to the general public on June 29th; however, after technical issues, ticket sales were paused indefinitely. Later, Disney announced that ticket sales would resume on July 11th. Again, they sold out quickly.

Disney California Adventure

If Disney sticks to this timeline this year, you can expect tickets to go on sale sometime in late June or early July. That said, since the first party is set to take place in August this year, we may see tickets go on sale a little earlier. Maybe early June? We’ll have to wait and see!

Frightfully Fun Parade

The Oogie Boogie Bash takes place at Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort. The event officially begins at 6PM and ends at 11PM, but ticket holders may enter the park starting at 3PM. We can’t WAIT for the event to begin this year; be ready to act FAST when those tickets are available!
