You just never know when the need for a nap will hit you around Disney World, and it just always seems to come at the least opportune times. However, you spent your hard-earned money on this vacation, and you’re not willing to go back to your hotel room and lose time sleeping AND traveling.

We try to keep you as prepared as possible for your Disney World trips with everything from transportation woes to crowd levels, and ride closures but we’ve been holding out on one big part that could make or break your Disney World trip. We’re breaking down all of our secret (and not-so-secret spots) that are prime locations for taking a well-deserved nap!
We don’t know about you, but our energy level during a day at Disney World could use a mid-day recharge! Luckily, you’ve come to the Disney World experts who are in the parks daily, and we’ve got a list of tricks to help you out in that department.

Fantasyland crowds
We’ve thought long and hard about (read that as tested out) a few spots around Disney World’s parks, hotels, and transportation where a quick snooze could be taken. Let’s take a peek at which places made the top of our recommendations!
Carousel of Progress
There’s a great, big beautiful nap waiting for you at the Carousel of Progress. Alright, moan and groan at me all you want but you know I’m right about this!

Carousel of Progress
Sure, this classic attraction is like a time capsule just waiting to give you all the nostalgic feels, but since its run time is well over 15 minutes, it’s a great place to sit along the back wall, close your eyes for a bit, and give that headache you’ve been nursing all day in the heat a rest.
For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing A Long
This next place might not be ideal for the light napper! If you can get past all of the theatrics, singing, and falling snoap from above, For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along could be just your speed!

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This stunning stage show has everything you can think of in a great musical, and it’s one that will keep your kiddos entertained while you drift off to sleep in your chair for a while. It’s a bit chilly inside thanks to Elsa’s permafrost — making it a solid choice for a relaxing spell out of the Florida sun.
Hall of Presidents
This attraction may be the end-all-be-all for snoozefests at Disney World. Let’s face it, if you find yourself checking out this attraction you’re either checking off a mark on the “do everything in Magic Kingdom” checklist or you’re in desperate need of some quality R&R.

Hall of Presidents
This attraction will take you through the American history of some of our most notable presidents and stories from their time in office. It’s also updated with each new president’s addition, but we can’t say we’ve actually “seen” much of it because it’s a prime location for a nap due to its length.
The Seas With Nemo & Friends
It might be a “big blue world” but a nap is there in those clamshells waiting for me! If you’ve ever found yourself in need of a place to nap in EPCOT, this is the first place that came to mind.

Outside of The Seas with Nemo and Friends
This is another slow-moving attraction that’s family-friendly but irresistible when it calls to weary travelers. I have no problem admitting I’m a weakling when it comes to taking a quick snooze on this ride because of its aquatic aesthetic and how soothing the water and music can be in such a low-lit area.
Spaceship Earth
While communication and technological advances are truly astounding, let’s be honest, I’m not riding Spaceship Earth solely for this reason!

Thank the Phoenicians
For most of the Spaceship Earth ride you’re in darkness, and because it’s so slow-moving and even tilts backward at times as you descend the Spaceship Earth ride, it’s hard not to find yourself nodding off. Honestly, though, we can’t blame you!
Na’vi River Journey
Who can resist the calming vibrations calling to you from Pandora? Certainly not me! This slow-moving boat ride has all I need for a recipe to nap success.

Na’vi River Journey
Here you’ll board a boat that will move through dark lighting while illuminating the bioluminescent life that Pandora has to offer. While it’s certainly a sight to behold the first few times you ride it, if it starts to lose its charm later on it could be an ideal spot to take a quick snooze especially when you hear the gentle chanting of the Na-vi Shawman’s voice towards the end of the ride.
Vacation Fun
This is one that’s probably out of sight and out of mind but it’s a great option! If you’ve never ducked into Vacation Fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a quick power nap, then I feel for you.

Vacation Fun
It’s a super cool, dimly light theater that shows a montage of Mickey shorts about Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto preparing to go on vacation (while also reminiscing on past travels… and tribulations?). If this doesn’t sound like an attraction that’s quite your speed, that’s ok, because your goal here is to grab a few minutes of downtime to power nap in the park.
Star Wars Launch Bay
If you think you’re feeling the strong will of the force within you, it’s probably just naptime calling, Jedi.

Star Wars Launch Bay
Deep within the Star Wars Launch Bay, you’ll find a great opportunity to meet with several iconic Star Wars characters however, it’s also pretty tucked away off the beaten path from Animation Courtyard. This could work in your favor for minimal disruption if you decide to find a quick spot to sit and take a power nap between your next Lightning Lane reservations, and I think that’s a smart move to get through the remainder of your day.
Disney & Pixar Shorts Film Festival
Yep, a theater sounds like a great place to sit and relax for a bit, and I don’t think you’ll have much of a problem doing that at the Disney & Pixar Shorts Film Festival in EPCOT.

Wanna watch some shorts?
This is a napper’s hidden gem when it comes to attractions because it’s typically not very full and is a pretty lengthy production while it’s running. If you plan to stay away through this attraction, you’ll be treated to several Disney & Pixar “shorts” that are typically found playing before premiering Disney & Pixar films in theaters but you can also find several of them to stream on Disney+ now!
Transportation
If you’re not on board with the idea of taking time out of your day to nap, how does on in-between activities sound? If you’re taking specific modes of transportation, this could be an ideal time to catch a few zzz’s!

Skyliner gondolas
Boarding the Disney Skyliner to park hop or get to and from the neighboring hotels could be a nice relaxing way to drift off for a few minutes while keeping you in motion…

EPCOT boats
… or try and get some shut-eye in between destinations when you’re park hopping on boats! We’re pretty confident the blaring whistle will be enough to wake you when it’s time to go!
Living With The Land
Just listen to the land, it knows what you need — and right now, that’s a nap!

How do we get an invite to this picnic???
Here’s another slow-moving boat ride to take you through all of the various landscapes and show you how various plants thrive and survive in even the harshest of conditions. If none of that sounds appealing to you, or on the flip side t00 inviting listening to the natural world sounds as you coast along, this could easily turn into your next favorite nap spot!
Resort Hidden Gems & Relaxation Spots
While we love napping at the parks and a few of the transportation systems, there are a few special places at the Disney World hotels that have our hearts! Take for instance the inviting hammocks around a few of the more beach-themed hotels like Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, and Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Lounging hammock
But if being outdoors isn’t really your napping style of choice we have a few indoor options to offer up! There are several inviting plush couches near the check-in for California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort…

Take the escalators up by the California Grill entrance to find those napping couches!
… and there are also a few landing spots with things like rocking chairs, roaring fireplaces, and other quick spots to stop and relax at hotel lounges, and recreational rooms like The Solarium at Disney’s Beach Club Resort…

Solarium Lounge Seating
… and the Boulder Ridge section of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort.
As you can see, we’ve found a preferred spot for a nap almost anywhere you can think of around Disney World. We’re always keeping up with the latest changes, updates, and closures at Disney World so be sure to check back with us at Disney Food Blog for the most updated information!

The american adventure in Epcot.
How could you forget The American Adventure??
You forgot about American Adventure in the World Showcase. When we went back in late October 2018. We went to American Adventure to get off our fèet for a while. I looked over at the back row and there was already a,guy fast asleep and snoring. Even before the show had started.
Not that I want the pandemic days back again, but I sure did enjoy the relaxation stations. Especially the one at Akershus – quiet and air-conditioned!
Mickey’s philharmonic behind Cinderella’s castle.
And the muppet show and it’s a bug’s life.
Mickey’s Philharmagic is a very comfy nap spot
I think another requirement for a good napping spot is a short or no wait. This would rule out Na’vi River as I wouldn’t want to stand in line for 45 minutes (or more) to nap for 5 and miss a great experience.
Quite a few choices.
