So MANY new things have been announced about Universal’s Epic Universe land for How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk it’s like trying to drink from a fire hydrant! With all of the updates flooding in that were teased just days before, it’s hard to believe that we still have to wait a little longer to experience it.

Something intrigued us about this particular land while we were keeping a close watch over the latest construction updates here and we can now confirm information about one of the burning questions you’re bound to have!
If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to soar through the sky like riding the back of a dragon, you’re now officially one step closer to finding out! If you’re anything like us and grew up with (or are just now introducing your own littles) to the How To Train Your Dragon films, this very thought has probably crossed your mind a time or two.

Since Universal has now confirmed the land’s rides like Fyre Drill, Dragon Racer’s Rally, and Hiccup’s Wing Glider, this also may mean that certain height restrictions may be a deciding factor on who will be riding this ride with you when you visit.
Without further ado, let’s get to the rides! We are going to go from the shortest height requirement up to the biggest (which is 48″). Let’s get to our first ride: Fyre Drill. In this ride, we will take on the role of a villager preparing to protect our town against fire-breathing dragons. We will be boarding a boat and taking a trek down Berk’s Fyre Skööl, where Ruffnut and Tuffnut have designed an interactive boat battle.
Riders will blast water cannons from the boat at flame-like target, as well as the occupants of other boats! Sounds like this will be a ride where you may get very wet! Your goal is to out-soak the other Vikings, and of course get ready in case the town comes under attack from a dragon. This ride has NO minimum height requirement. However, children under 48″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion and hand-held infants are not permitted.
Next up, we are heading over to Hiccup’s Wing Gliders. In this new attraction, we will be taking a ride on one of Hiccup’s newest contraptions: a winged flying machine. What could go wrong, right? We are just going to hop into a new contraption and see how it works. His winged flying machine is designed to launch aspiring Dragon Riders into the air, complete with feeling of swooping and soaring through the air. In addition, there are promises that we will encounter BOTH Toothless and Hiccup along the way.
This fun coaster will allow us to feel like we are speeding through the sky with the dragons. In order to ride Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, rider must be a minimum height of 40” (102 cm). As well, children under 48″ must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion. Hand-held infants are not permitted.
Finally, is Dragon Racer’s Rally! In this attraction, we will be training to be a Champion Dragon Racer. Riders will be practicing aerobatic maneuvers and high-speed barrel rolls on a Viking-made dragon riding trainer.
This ride has some high-flying, gravity defying maneuvers and will put you to the test to see if you have what it takes to be a champion dragon racer. This ride has the highest height requirement in the Isle of Berk. To ride Dragon Racer’s Rally, riders will need to be a minimum height of 48″ (122 cm).
We’re beside ourselves with excitement over all of the news about this new land coming to Universal’s Epic Universe. We’ll continue updating you as more is announced about more news to come from Universal and Epic Universe so be sure to check back with us for all the latest details!
