Some restaurants at Disney World have super cool views!
The view of the resort or even fireworks can be a reason in itself to book a dining reservation! Around the Magic Kingdom resort area, restaurants like ‘Ohana, California Grill, and Narcoossee’s have great views of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. Restaurants like Topolino’s Terrace and Toledo have rooftop views of the Disney World property. When you dine at places like these, you want to sit in the “good” seats, but how do you get a table with a view?
We totally understand wanting to have dinner with a view, but getting that view is never guaranteed. We have some tips to help you secure good tables!
Arrive Early to Your Reservation
Check-in for reservations at Disney World restaurants starts 20 minutes before your reservation time. You can check in on the My Disney Experience app and add some of your party’s preferences, like allergies and celebrations.
If you want to request a table, you can head over to the host stand in front of the restaurant where you are dining. We suggest you do this before your 20-minute window. You can ask the host Cast Member to make a note on your reservation for a specific table.
The table you want is never guaranteed, and the Cast Member will tell you that, but adding the note can help the restaurant find a table that fits your needs.
Some of our team has worked at dining locations across Disney World and have firsthand experience with assigners trying to accommodate table requests. If you dine at a restaurant often, you can even ask your server for the table number you are sitting at; that way, an assigner can try to get you at that same table the next time you dine there!
Sometimes, a table request can extend your wait time, as tables might need to be cleared to accommodate your request. Adding a note with the host does not guarantee you will get the exact view that you would like, but it’s always worth a try!
Asking Cast Members Politely
If you do decide to arrive early to talk to a host Cast Member, it is important to ask politely and be patient. A lot of the time, the Cast Member you ask to make the request is not the one who will actually fulfill it.
From firsthand experience, if you are polite to the host Cast Member, sometimes they will put in a good word with the assignor to fulfill the request and make a Magical Moment! This is never guaranteed and should not be expected, but kindness can go a long way.
Making a Reservation at the Right Time
Do you want to dine at a restaurant during the fireworks to catch a unique viewing experience? It is essential to book your reservation at a time when the fireworks will be going off.
The key to being able to see fireworks while dining is to make your reservation time BEFORE the fireworks start. Super popular restaurants can get behind on reservation times, especially during fireworks, since some diners do not want to give up their table when it gets close to showtime.
When looking at reservation times, consider booking your reservation at least 45 minutes before the fireworks start time to give a cushion in case the dining room is running behind.
While table requests are never guaranteed, Cast Members do their best to consider requests. Remember to arrive early to make your request, be nice when asking, and plan your reservation time around showtimes.

How to Use Mobile Order in Disney World
I once had a table right next to the window at Narcoossee’s, facing Magic Kingdom, which should have been perfect for viewing the fireworks. But just as the music started, the deck outside filled up with people (who weren’t even dining in the restaurant!) and all we couldn’t see the fireworks at all. And there was no point in going outside because the deck was so jam-packed with people nobody else could fit. This was several years ago, and maybe they don’t let people watch the fireworks from the deck anymore, but just be prepared: if you ask for a table with a fireworks view at Narcoossee’s, you might get the table but not the view.
