Travel is a BIG part of a Disney World trip.
We spend a LOT of time traveling. We’ve talked about packing hacks, the BEST tips for flying through Orlando International Airport, and even the BEST tips for flying through Orlando International Airport. Throughout our travels, we have also discovered the EASIEST airline to fly when it comes to Orlando International Airport. When it comes to different airlines, everybody has their preferences. There are SO many to choose from, and we support any decision you make when it comes to choosing your preferred airline. Even though you may have your favorites, depending on where you’re traveling to and from — it could be easier to travel on a different airline.
If you’ve been traveling through Orlando International, it’s easy to see just how many airlines fly to and from the airport on a regular basis. Of course, you’ll have all the major ones — like Delta, American, and United, but you’ll also find a TON of budget and international airlines thrown into the mix. However, if you’re looking for the EASIEST airline to fly, look no further than Southwest.
When it comes to all of the airlines that we see travel through Orlando International on a daily basis, Southwest has reigned supreme when it comes to being the busiest airline at the airport. Not only that, but this summer, Southwest plans to make Orlando International their hub for international flights coming in and out of Florida!
Not only is it the most popular airline at Orlando International, but it also has some flight practices that are pretty popular among its patrons — which can add to the ease of flying with them overall. Plus, their lower flight fares really add to the appeal overall.
When you fly with Southwest, you have two checked bags per person included in your ticket already — so you don’t need to pay any outside fees for your checked luggage. This can be AMAZING for a family who is looking to save some serious cash.
Along with that, they even load their planes in a different way! Instead of selecting your seat ahead of time, they take the “first come, first serve” approach and allow their customers to choose where they sit as they are boarding the plane. People have mixed feelings about this policy, but it can save guests a lot of money that they’d be spending to select their seats otherwise.
All of these factors are really working in Southwest’s favor when it comes to being one of the easiest airlines to travel. We’re always looking for more info to make your travels easier, so keep checking in with us to see what we find next!

Southwest, definitely. The 2 free bags per person ends up saving a couple hundred per flight. Also, they have a direct flight from Albuquerque now, although it seems pretty arbitrary when it’s offered.
