Okay, is it just us or did January feel like the LONGEST MONTH EVER? Well, February is FINALLY here (imagine us as the old lady in Titanic saying “it’s been 84 years.”).

You know what that means? It means a TON of new snacks and treats have arrived in Disney World for Disney’s Celebrate Soulfully, which is how Disney celebrates Black History Month. Okay, so it also means that we are running ALL over Disney World trying out all this new food, so we can get you good, honest reviews. Well, now we’re headed to Magic Kingdom to try a princess-inspired dessert, and spoiler alert: we want to “Dig a Little Deeper” into this snack.

So head on over to Main Street Bakery with us as we pick up Tiana’s Petit Cake for $9.99. This is a Vanilla chiffon cake with lemon Chantilly, and fresh strawberries topped with a fondant flower and a Tiana chocolate piece. First, this is the PRETTIEST cake, right? The fondant magnolia flower and Tiana chocolate piece just make it stand out even more. Let’s just say this cake is more than “Almost there.” It is THERE, Tiana!

We’re happy to report that this cake tastes as good as it looks. The lemon Chantilly is very light against the vanilla chiffon cake and elevates the vanilla flavor (that we usually just find okay) to something a bit MORE. That Chantilly is also in layers with big chunks of fresh strawberries throughout the cake. This is a situation where everything just works.

Also, this cake is a great use of a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan, so if you’ll be visiting Disney  World soon with the Dining Plan, this is one snack you should keep in mind. It’s also bigger than a normal cake slice, so it’s shareable!

This cake is only going to be around until March 1st, so you’ll need to grab it before then if you’d like to try it for yourself.
