It’s an exciting week when you can celebrate new Disney World arrivals.
That makes every week an exciting week! Yep, every week at Disney World, we try new foods, shop for new merchandise, and we check out attraction and park updates — like construction! This week was filled with changes big and small, but there were a few things that stood out to us.
This week, we got to meet TWO new character friends in the Parks as well as try a few new snacks that arrived. LET’S GO!
Figment Meet and Greet in EPCOT
Last weekend, it was announced at the Destination D23 event that Figment would be joining the lineup of characters that you can meet in EPCOT.
On September 10th, we hopped in line to meet Figment for ourselves on the opening day. After waiting in line for about two hours, we finally got to meet this purple dragon. We still have no comment on Figgy’s new look.

Mirabel Meet and Greet in Magic Kingdom
On September 15th, Mirabel arrived to Magic Kingdom as an official resident of Fairytale Garden!
The line was loooong, long, LONG, but it was all made worth it when we finally arrived to the meet and greet area and saw Mirabel for the first time, as well as all the decorations that served as little odes to Casita and the rest of the Madrigal family.

NEW Treats for Hispanic Heritage Month
September and October are an EXCITING time because we get to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Disney World. We celebrate best with FOOD, and we tried a few treats inspired by hispanic culture.
A favorite was the Coco Skeleton Bone Pastry from Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!
