The Spain booth is a mixed bag this year. All of the eats are returning (and we’re SUPER excited to revisit one snack in particular!), but every single one of the drinks is NEW this year!

2023 Booth
The 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially started and we’re having a great time tasting all the delicious eats and drinks. We’ve already visited several food booths throughout the park, but now it’s time to get some portable charcuterie at the Spain booth! A cup full of cheeses and meats, some tasty paella, and a whole flight of Sangria…ya, the Spain booth has caught our attention. But is it actually worth a visit? Let’s go find out!
Menu
Over at the Spain booth, you’ll find three returning snacks and three all-new drinks. The three drinks can be purchased separately or together as a flight.

2023 Menu
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
We aren’t kidding when we say we’re going all around the world for Food & Wine — to Spain we go! ??

Eats
Even though we’ve had all of these eats in the past, we had to try them again (for science, of course!). First up, we grabbed the Charcuterie, which is a selection of imported Spanish Meats, Cheeses, Olives, and an Herbed Serrano Vinaigrette for $6.50. Note that this item is part of Emile’s Fromage Montage (the cheese crawl). In the past, we’ve found this snack to be incredibly flavorful, filling, and convenient! It’s basically a bunch of cheese and meat in a cup — what more could you ask for?

Charcuterie
We actually had to wait a while on this item because of its popularity, so just keep that in mind when you order. The sausage has a bit of a kick to it. The olives were bitter and the meats were very briny. The overall spice was mild, which is nice. Our biggest thing was that since it’s in a cup, you have to dig through it to make the kind of combinations you would want.
Unfortunately, it’s all downhill from here…really this is the ONLY thing we’d recommend from this booth.

Dig In
Next, we got the Paella with Saffron Rice, Chorizo, and Shrimp for $6.75. Last year, we thought this dish was somewhat lacking. The rice and sausage were pretty good, but the shrimp were not seasoned well. Is it possible that the Paella has redeemed itself in 2023?

Paella with Saffron Rice, Chorizo, and Shrimp
It didn’t do much better this year. While we liked the flavor of the rice and the sausage was very bold in flavor, the shrimp was the letdown again. They were bland and chewy — gross.

Finally, we tried the Seafood Salad with Shrimp, Bay Scallops, Mussels, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, White Balsamic Vinegar, and Smoked Paprika. This dish costs $6.25. This is another dish that needs a redemption story — in 2022, we thought that it didn’t have much flavor and some of the seafood was even kind of rubbery.

Seafood Salad
The same old song here too. We thought the salad was oily and rubbery again. It is visually unappealing and it was mostly bland. It was very juicy so be careful putting it on your fork.

Let down again
We’ve had all the eats, so let’s go check out those new drinks!
Drinks
ALL the drinks on this menu are new this year, so we got the Sangria Flight to taste them all! The flight comes with a 6 oz pour of each sangria for $13.

Sangria Flight
First up, we tried the Viña Borgia Macabeo White Sangria. On its own, this one costs $6.50. We thought this tasted like watered-down grape juice. It could be because they place ice in the drinks, which melts fast. It was fruity and sweet.

Viña Borgia Macabeo White Sangria
The next drink was the Viña Borgia Rosé Sangria. If you want this Sangria by itself, it costs $6.50. Of the three, this one was the most sweet. It was fuller in body and was very flavorful.

Viña Borgia Rosé Sangria
The last drink on the flight was the Viña Borgia Garnacha Red Sangria. If you only want the red, you can get it for $6.50. This one was almost… spicy? It was not sweet at all and had a bitter and sharp taste.

So how does this booth stack up overall?
OVERALL
The food at the booth had us disappointed again. It seems like similar issues we had with the food from the year before with a lack of flavor and texture. We do think the Charcuterie is a great snack choice from this booth. The sangria flight might be for you if you’re looking for a range of sweetness in drinks.

Full Spread
We’re stuffed with cheese and Sangria, but there are a TON more eats at this festival to try!
