Not all Disney World parks are created equally when it comes to food, and since we’ve eaten at every single restaurant there is in the parks and hotels we know what’s worth your time and money.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is known for its glitz and glamor, but it’s also got plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. And if you can only eat at one Hollywood Studios restaurant — it should be this one.
Before we get into which restaurant you should pick on your Hollywood Studios day, if you’re heading to this park soon, be sure to download our free checklist of everything you need to see and do in the park!
If You Want a Table Service Meal
Hollywood Brown Derby
The Hollywood Brown Derby is an authentic replica of the famous Brown Derby in Hollywood, California. The walls are covered in caricatures of a ton of celebrities and the interior is an ode to the Golden Age of Hollywood.
The iconic Grapefruit Cake is A Brown Derby Original with Vanilla Sponge Cake, Grapefruit Syrup, and Cream Cheese Icing. It’s consistently been one of our favorite desserts in all of Disney World.
And, of course, there’s the Famous Cobb Salad. We’ve yet to have a negative experience with this salad so we keep coming back for more again and again. This dish incorporates the classic flavors you’ll find in a Cobb Salad, including Spit-Roasted Turkey, Finely Chopped Greens, Bacon, Egg, Tomatoes, Avocado, Chives, Crumbled Blue Cheese, and Cobb Dressing. Typically, a Cast Member will prepare the salad by mixing it tableside.
But, what if you don’t have time for a full table service meal?

If You Want Something Quick But Filling
Woody’s Lunch Box
Andy from Toy Story has taken his very own lunch box and thermos, and has used them to build a walk-up window Quick Service location that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner to all of us “toys” visiting Toy Story Land! Woody’s is a quick service spot that has a few different tasty treats depending on what you’re after.
One of our favorite breakfast items is the Breakfast Bowl (A.K.A. Breakfast Totchos) — potato barrels smothered in smoked brisket country gravy, scrambled eggs, and green onions. These are seriously delicious.
And for lunch or dinner, the BBQ Brisket Melt is a great choice. It’s made with shredded smoked brisket, pickles, and tangy barbecue sauce between melted cheddar and Monterey jack on grilled sourdough bread. You can also get it with a side of tomato soup for dipping!
Woody’s is also known for their Lunch Box Tarts — think of it like a fancy, homemade pop tart. We recently had the Raspberry Tart, which tasted a lot like a sugar cookie stuffed with raspberry jam. So, if you like sugar cookies, you’ll probably like this. The raspberry jam was sweet and tart.
Okay, but where’s the best place to grab a drink and light bites to eat?

If You’re Looking for Drinks or Something Light
Baseline Tap House
Baseline Tap House is certainly the answer. It’s a great spot to grab a beer, cocktail, or snack and take in the scene of Grand Avenue in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There is a little bit of indoor seating, but there is much more room outside where you can take some time to relax and enjoy the laid-back scene.
The beers here are all from California, and there is a small selection of wine, pre-mixed cocktails, and a full bar. You can also grab some specialty sodas here if you’re not looking for alcohol.
For snacks at this spot, your options are usually something like the California Cheese & Charcuterie Plate made of Toma Farmstead Cheese, Point Reyes Original Blue Cheese, Laura Chenel’s Sonoma Goat Cheese, Chorizo and Calabrese Salami, Cornichons, Grapes, and toasted baguettes…
…and the Bavarian Pretzel which comes with mustard and beer cheese sauce. Both are excellent bar bites!

What’s your favorite Hollywood Studios restaurant? Tell us in the comments.
For 20 years we used to LOVE this restaurant, having eaten there probably 30-50 times. But like so many current Disney restaurants, their vegetarian options are extremely limited. SEVEN non-vegetarian entrées, and just ONE vegetarian entrée, tomato, risotto, eggplant, fritters. ONE!!! Brown Derby is saying to vegetarians, “Like our ONE entrée, or DON’T EAT HERE”. So… If one person in our family of five vegetarians does not like risotto, or eggplant, which is the case, we cannot eat there. With a growing number of vegetarian‘s and vegans, this is very shortsighted of Hollywood Brown Derby, and Disney in general. Over the years we have spent $8000–$10,000 dollars at this restaurant, but for the past few years… $0. Unlike your title, this is one Hollywood Studios restaurant that we won’t eat at.

Well, THIS passholder chooses the Character Buffet at Hollywood & Vine. Best food overall, great fun with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto, and the opportunity to add the Fantasmic dinner package to your visit.
We’ve done it three times this summer!
And we’ll do it again when returning in the fall.
Brown derby is usually good but their drink prices are just ridiculous. I had a small grapefruit martini and it was like 18 bucks. I don’t mind paying 18 but can you spare a larger martini glass. I ordered 2 because it was good but I just always feel like I’m being taken advantage of with Disney drinks. Don’t even get me started with the Italian pizza sit down restaurant Via Napoli. 18 bucks for an americano in a tiny stemless martini glass with ice and a huge orange wedge jammed in the glass. If I would have attained it, it would have been a shot glass lol we were all laughing at the table when it arrived. It’s just getting to be a bit ridiculous. Sorry rant over lol
