It’s never too early to start planning for the holidays!
And now is a great time to start, especially since Disney World just announced a ton of exciting offerings will be returning to the parks this year. Not only that, but a brand new holiday party is coming to Hollywood Studios and we just learned more details!
A brand new holiday event is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Disney Jollywood Nights is a new, separately ticketed event that will take place from 8:30PM to 12:30AM on ten select nights from November 11th through December 20th, 2023.
When Disney first announced the event, they teased that a special singalong would be coming to the Hyperion Theater in Hollywood Studios — and now we know WHO will be leading that singalong…
…Jack Skellington! Disney shared that a The Nightmare Before Christmas singalong would be happening during the Jollywood Nights events this year. Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie will appear, and — What’s This?! Sandy Claws might be in some trouble.
Animation Courtyard will be lined with characters including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto, and Powerline Max, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and Phineas and Ferb can be found at Echo Lake (and we hear each meet and greet will have its own Christmas tree)! Over at Pixar Place, you’ll be able to meet Edna Mode with a 1950s theme and catch Frozone’s Snow Zone!
Throughout the park, guests will be able to experience unique music and entertainment inspired by different genres. For example, over at Commissary Lane, guests can explore a lively Latin Street Fair featuring three different bands, while Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will host a live holiday special over at Theater of the Stars with some other Disney friends like Tiana and Belle.
The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard will feature an “otherworldly soiree” with a ghostly band, and the Hollywood Brown Derby will be home to a swingin’ good time too.
There will be a marquee on Hollywood Boulevard for you to grab a special photo with in the “Welcome to Tinseltown” area. And, there will be specialty food and beverages available, as well as a DJ spinning holiday, classic, and pop music.
No holiday event is complete without a little nighttime show, so be sure to check out the “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” nighttime spectacular. The show features holiday music, fireworks, special effects, and projections.
Don’t forget that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will still take place on select nights in Magic Kingdom. If you hoped to see that classic Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party may be the event for you. But, if you’re intrigued by this NEW holiday offering, make sure to check the calendar and grab those tickets! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

Disclosure: In nearly all circumstances, Disney Food Blog writers and photographers pay full price for their own travel, hotel, food, beverage, and event tickets. We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Disney World to attend their media preview of holiday offerings. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy. Um it is now June 28th and they STILL have not released ticket prices for specific days.
I guess they are expecting us to book a resort stay on the same day as we buy our tickets?
That’s all well and good except we won’t be able to see tickets prices unless we have a resort stay.
See the catch 22.
Usually they’ve release prices by now. What is hoping on disney?!?
Hollywood Nights thing sounds nice but sadly with their already very expensive ticket price increases this is just an added expense during the holidays that I won’t be participating in. Sorry Disney but my family and I remember The Osborne Lights at Hollywood Studios that was included in our ticket price and was outstanding way for people to enjoy holiday lights & music together. It can’t be replaced and shame on you for trying to expect us to pay more during the holidays for what you used to do as part of admission price!
