Welcome back to Disney World, friends! Are you ready to tour another hotel room?
Seeing inside different hotel rooms can help you decide where is best for you and your family to stay. Is the room big enough for your family? Do you feel it’s worth the price tag you’re paying? Without further ado, come with us to check out a standard room at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort!
Port Orleans Riverside is themed to the Louisana Bayou, and more specifically has hints of The Princess and The Frog in its decor.
The rooms all face outward, like motel doors, so if that’s a big decision factor for you, it’s important you know that now!
Heading inside the room, you’ll first notice a window to the right of the entrance door with the heating/AC unit underneath.
If you look closely, you’ll notice Princess and The Frog detail on the window’s curtain!
To the right of the window, you’ll find a table with two chairs.
On the table, you’ll find some more information about the resort and parks during your stay.
And above the table, you’ll find a mirror.
From the table, this is your view into the rest of the room.
There are two queen beds in this room that you can lounge away in.
We even spotted a towel Mickey surprise on one of the beds!
The bedding is all white…
…including four fluffy white pillows on both beds. (By the way, did you know you can buy the pillows Disney uses on Amazon? Check them out here!)
There are also light fixtures above each of the beds, and artwork on the headboards.
A closer look at the artwork on the headboards.
In between the beds, you’ll also find a nightstand.
On top of the nightstand, you’ll find the resort phone, another informational brochure…
…and an outlet with USB ports to charge all of your devices.
Inside the nightstand drawer, we found a Bible.
Don’t forget that there’s lots of space underneath the beds to store your luggage.
Facing back toward the rest of the room, you’ll find the TV above the dresser.
On the left side of the dresser, you’ll find the mini-fridge.
Lots of space to store your food!
On top of the dresser, you’ll find a TV remote…
…another outlet with USB ports…
…a coffee maker…
…and the ice chest and cups.
To the right of the dresser, you’ll also find a space to hang your jackets or lanyards.
Below this, is a green bench.
And to the right of the bench, you’ll find the entrance to the bathroom.
But first, you can control the temperature with the thermostat to the left of the entrance.
Inside the bathroom, you’ll find the dual sinks straight ahead.
A closer look at the sinks…
In the middle of the sinks, you’ll find soap and body lotion.
Above it, you’ll find a box of tissues on a shelf — that shelf is handy for holding makeup and other toiletries.
You’ll also find extra towels on the right side of the counter.
And a magnifying mirror on the right side of the counter.
There are towels hanging on the front side of the sinks…
…and underneath the counter, you’ll find extra toilet paper...
…a hairdryer…
…and more towels.
To the left of the sink, you’ll find a space to hang up all of your clothes, an extra pillow and blanket, and an iron.
Here you’ll also find a safe to store any of your most important belongings.
All the way to the right of the sinks, you’ll find the rest of the bathroom — the toilet and the shower/tub.
The shower curtain is a beautiful flower design with fireflies…
…and behind it, you’ll find the shower, which can also be a tub if need be.
Inside the shower, you’ll also find shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
And that’s what a standard room at Port Orleans Riverside will get you! Looking for more room tours? Check out the Moana rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and what your room aboard the Galactic Starcruiser will be like. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney hotel news!

Have stayed there multiple times. No wash cloths. None. Either bring your own or use a hand towel as a wash cloth!!!
Looks pretty nice…. Never stayed there.
I traveled to Disneyworld in August to celebrate my 70th birthday. When my brother and I made our reservations in March, we decided on Port Orleans/Riverside, and I felt we couldn’t have made a better choice. The rooms were lovely, and there was enough room for me to plug in my scooter at night (I have some breathing issues and renting the scooter proved to be a life saver).
The breakfast was great, we enjoyed the Mickey Waffles!
But most of all, I have to say that the staff was wonderful! I really have to commend Carol on the overnight staff. My brother experienced health issues that required emergency medical care. Carol took care of us, explained what she was doing to phone the ambulance and generally helped to make the situation better than it could have been.
On our next trip, my brother and I have already agreed that we will stay at
Port Orleans/Riverside. Hopefully they will be serving the beignets at Riverside by then!
