We’re drawing closer to the end of the 50th Anniversary of Disney World, and chances are that means things are about to change.

Exclusive snacks have disappeared, certain experiences are ending, and before we know it — we won’t be seeing 50th Anniversary merchandise everywhere we look. And, it looks like those changes have started hitting some iconic Disney World souvenirs already!
It’s certainly no secret that Cinderella Castle got quite the makeover for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, and that meant castle merch got an upgrade, too! The gorgeous 50th Anniversary Cinderella Castle playset premiered back when the celebrations began, and it’s been one of our favorite items to come out of this collection.
50th Castle playset
It featured the same 50th emblem that adorned the real castle and was covered in gold, blue, and pink — just like the real thing, too. Apparently, we weren’t the only ones who thought it was iconic, as it quickly sold out online and has stayed that way for a while. As of now, it’s unavailable online and we haven’t seen it in stores recently either.

But, on a recent trip to Magic Kingdom, we noticed that this playset had changed. It still has the same blue, gold, and pink colors on it, but the rest of the 50th Anniversary elements have been removed.
No more 50th elements
You won’t find the 50th logo, the ribbons, or any of the other fancy parts that Disney added to the castle for the anniversary, but she is still gorgeous! Could this be a sign that the pink on the castle is here to stay? Disney hasn’t mentioned whether or not the real Cinderella Castle will get any sort of other makeovers once the celebrations end on March 31st, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for any changes!
The 50th Anniversary Celebration is winding down
For now, you can get the new Cinderella Castle playset at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom for a cool $100. We’re looking out for more changes that are coming along with the end of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest news!

I don’t care for the pink so I’d be just fine if that went away. I thought the original blue and white was so elegant.
