We have good news! Today, Magic Kingdom held a special event that allowed us to check out the all-new merchandise coming to the park for the grand opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Why is this good news for you? Because we get to take you along! Guests can look forward to shopping for TONS of new items, from apparel to toys to collectibles and more. One item stood out to us and we think it will probably be one of the best sellers!
In anticipation of the official debut of TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom on April 4th, Disney has created an all-new MagicBand+ design just for the ride! The MagicBand itself and its technology are already pretty TRON-like (very high-tech stuff here), but Disney added even more design elements to help it fit in with the rest of the upcoming merchandise.
The TRON Lightcycle / Run MagicBand+ that we picked up is a rich blue color which matches a lot of the theming for this ride. The center puck has the ride’s logo within a silver border.

Each end of the band has a design showing a lightcycle racer zooming across the Grid! One side is a light blue while the other is a vibrant orange.
What a fun design!
Because this is a MagicBand+, it will come with all of the bells and whistles (or rather, lights and haptics!) they’re known for. How cool would it be to wear one as it syncs up with Happily Ever After once that show returns?

This MagicBand is the perfect accessory to all of the other TRON apparel that will soon be available in the parks. You can mix and match different tops, jackets, hats, and even Identity Discs to create your ultimate TRON look.

Will this MagicBand+ only be available in the park? I will be there the week after Tron opens and this is the MagicBand my husband wants, but you can’t seem to get it online in advance.
Hi Corinne! We don’t know if it will only be available in the parks, but I would keep checking online every day just in case it becomes available since it’s one you really want.
