In 2021, Disney rolled out a new program called the Disney Genie, which includes both free and paid components to help you plan your best day in a Disney Park.
While the free Disney Genie assists you in your daily plans, Genie+ allows you to bypass standby lines and book faster ride Lightning Lanes for a fee. Genie+ has recently changed and now Disney has generated a survey about the Disney Genie!
Recently, we received a push notification from the My Disney Experience app, letting us know that we could take a “My Genie Day Survey” containing 6 different questions about our experience using Disney’s Genie feature. Note that the Genie feature is free, and it allows you to customize an itinerary based on your plans and favorite activities. The Genie then generates recommendations for your day!
In the survey, Disney asks for feedback about the Disney Genie service, including whether we found it helpful or if we took any of the recommendations suggested by the Genie.
The Genie will also give you recommendations for visiting a ride or restaurant at certain times, and the survey asks whether we used any of the suggested time windows, or whether we tried something new based on the Genie-generated itinerary.
The Disney Genie generates a list of “My Top Picks” based on the selections you choose, and the survey also asks whether our list of top picks was accurate. It’s possible that Disney is seeking feedback about the Disney Genie to make future changes, so we’ll be keeping an eye on this service.
Also, if you opt to use the paid Genie+ service, you can now modify your Lightning Lane selections, rather than have to cancel them and re-book a different ride. This change rolled out in Disneyland previously and is now live in Disney World as well.

This could be because of the current lawsuit about thise particular features of Genie. Disney’s trying to figure out of they should fight it or cut their losses and scrap it.
The survey was for Genie, not Genie+. I don’t know anyone who actually uses just Genie. They are probably afraid of surveying Genie+ because they will have to acknowledge that almost everyone hates it and wants it gone. Not revamped, but totally eliminated.
