Grilled kebabs, Moroccan bread, and ciders — if you’re looking for one place that has it all, Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina is where you need to go!
The 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has arrived in EPCOT and Tangierine Cafe (in the Morrocco pavilion) is being utilized as a Festival space again. But should you grab any of the items here? Let’s check it out!
Menu
Over at the Morocco pavilion, you can stop by Tangierine Cafe for some Festival eats and drinks.
The dishes are returning and they include kebabs and Moroccan bread. None of the drinks (mostly ciders) are identified as “new” either, but sometimes if it ain’t broke, you don’t fix it, right? ? Let’s dive into the booth to see what’s available!
Eats
In terms of eats, we start with the Grilled Kebabs with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aioli. These are priced at $5.75.
There are two kebab options — Lamb Kefta and Chermoula Chicken (during the Festival of the Holidays in 2021 it was Harissa Chicken, but we saw the Charmoula Chicken during the Food & Wine Festival in 2021). Both are gluten/wheat friendly.
The Lamb Kebab was DELICIOUS when we last had it! In the past, we’ve found the lamb to have a TON of flavor.
The Chermoula Chicken had an AWESOME char to it, which we really enjoyed. But if you don’t like that char flavor, we think this is one you wouldn’t even be able to eat — so keep that in mind.
Also returning to Tangerine Cafe is the grilled Kebabs! We snagged the Chermoula Chicken with a carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aioli ?

The carrot and chickpea slaw was really good though. The carrots provided a nice crunch and the chickpeas were also really tasty, and the dressing on the slaw was light and refreshing. (There have been almond slivers in it in the past though, so be careful if you’ve got an almond allergy.)
Finally, we end with the Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with hummus, chermoula, and Zhoug dips. It’s sort of like a mini bread service! This is another returning item and is priced at $5. During last year’s Festival of the Holidays, the dips were a bit different. But we saw these same dips offered during the 2022 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.
In the past, when we’ve had this snack the bread has been SO light and fluffy, and it was the same this year! We didn’t find the bread itself to be anything special, but it is delicious and a great choice (without any dips) for picky eaters.
In terms of the dips, the hummus was good, but it just tasted like ordinary hummus that was heavy on the garlic flavor.
The Zhoug dip (green) had a strong garlic taste. It’s definitely not for everyone. It almost tasted like they had used over-ripe garlic to make the sauce, making it VERY heavy in terms of flavor. If you don’t love garlic, this will probably be too strong.
Finally, the chermoula dip (brown) had a strong olive taste (and reminded us of tapenade) so make sure you really like olives before you dip your bread in that one! It did have a nice mix of garlic and oil though, which was good.
If you’re looking for a good shareable snack, head to Tangerine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina for the returning stone-baked Moroccan bread with hummus, chermoula, and Zhoug dips ? pic.twitter.com/CwmvnhDPjJ

Drinks
In terms of drinks at this booth, you’ll find a variety of ciders. The first is the 3 Daughters Brewing Cranberry Cider, priced at $5.50 for 6oz and $9.50 for 12 oz.
There’s also a Woodchuck Winter Chill Hard Cider priced as follows: 6 oz $5.50 / 12 oz $9.50. Or you can opt for a Ciderboys Mad Bark Hard Cider — 6 oz is $5.50 / 12 oz is $9.50. We actually saw this specific flavor at the Prost! booth at the Festival of the Holidays in 2020.
If you want to try a little bit of everything, you can grab a Cider Flight for $10.
And the final drink available is the Fig Cocktail with sparkling wine, fig vodka, and cranberry juice, priced at $11.50. We had a very similar drink at the 2021 Food & Wine Festival (that one had white-cranberry juice and wasn’t described as having sparkling wine).
When we had that drink back in 2021, we thought the flavor was very different, but unfortunately, we weren’t a fan. The cranberry juice provided an almost medicinal flavor (which is unique) and the drink was pretty sweet. Plus, the alcohol flavor was almost nonexistent. It hasn’t been a hit for us in the past, but if you like the idea of those flavors, then it might be something for you to check out!
Overall
Overall, the fluffy bread and Lamb Kefta kebabs are great, but the bread dips can be divisive, the chicken kebab is nothing terribly special, and the drinks have been hit-or-miss.
But, if you’re looking for some pretty awesome bread and a savory lamb snack (plus a variety of ciders), you can stop by Tangierine Cafe to grab all of that in one spot!

The grilled chicken kebab with the carrot and chickpea slaw was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten at Epcot. I definitely recommend it.
