It’s time for the holidays in Disney World!
It’s the holiday season!
It’s that time of year where you can meet Santa Claus, eat around the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, and see festive decor! There are a lot of treats to try this holiday season and right now we’re trying a new snack at Magic Kingdom!
We’re headed to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe where there is the new Texas-sized Sweet Potato Pie which is a baked sweet potato pie with marshmallow meringue and candied pecans. So, what did we think of this massive snack?
Perfectly toasted on top!
We loved the marshmallow meringue! The meringue paired well with the flavor of the sweet potato, and the pecans and crust added some crunch to the soft pie filling. We did think this dessert was a little too sweet. The combination of the sugary sweet potato along with the meringue AND the candied pecans was a bit too much.

If you aren’t a fan of overly sweet desserts, you might want to skip this. The taste of pecan is a bit overpowering in this pie too, so those who don’t like pecans probably won’t enjoy it either! However, if you have a sweet tooth or are always going back for seconds when there’s sweet potato pie for dessert after Thanksgiving dinner, you might need an entire pie for yourself!
