How familiar with you with all of Disney World entertainment offerings?
We’ve seen new merchandise, new snacks, and new shows too. Recently it was announced that one of Animal Kingdom’s beloved KiteTails show would be closing. But in happier news, there are now showtimes online for Animal Kingdom’s Tree of Life Awakenings show!
In recent months, Animal Kingdom has been closing quite early so it hasn’t been dark enough to watch the Tree of Life come to life. But according to the website, beginning on October 1st, guests should be able to see Animal’s Kingdom’s Tree of Life light up with the Tree of Life Awakening show!
The first show we can see shows up at 7:45PM on October 1st. Before that date, no showtimes show up on the My Disney Experience app.
While you’re in the park, check out some of the new eats for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, keep in mind that the park’s Starbucks location may be under construction, and you can grab s’mores in a jar! Also October 1st is a BIG day because it marks the 40th Anniversary of EPCOT and dozens of new Halloween treats are being released throughout the parks and resorts!
As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news.

Is this a seasonal experience? Or was Animal Kingdom closing early only as part of the phased re-opening after the acute stage of the pandemic?
Just trying to work out if I’d need to visit during Northern-hemisphere Autumn/Winter months to see it, or if this might be available in Spring if the park stays open later from now on…
After checking October AK hours, it looks like the evening show may only run on the weekends with the park closing at 8pm. Mon-Thurs, the park closes at 7pm.
