You may think you know all of the MagicBand+ features, but do you reeeeaaaaally?
Yeah, yeah, we know about the interactions with the 50th Anniversary character statues and bounty hunting over at Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But, did you know that your MagicBand+ can even interact with attractions?! YEP, they can do that — here’s what attractions you can interact with!
EPCOT Attractions
So far, we’ve seen our bands interact with rides like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure…

…and it almost looks like it’s flashing the French Flag. That has to be on purpose, right?
Of course, EPCOT’s newest ride got the interactive upgrade too! In the exit area of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, we were able to get the interaction to activate.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Our band started flashing blue lights and vibrating.
Let’s hop to Hollywood Studios to see which rides interact with MagicBand+ there!

We also got some spooOOooky red lighting and vibrations as we excited Tower of Terror.

Perfect for Halloween season!
MagicBand+ also interacts with the lights on the Tower of Terror at night!

MagicBand+ lights!
And as we exited Muppet*Vision 3D, we noticed something on the MagicBand+.

Muppet Vision 3D
Our band started vibrating and flashing rainbow lighting! It continued for quite some time as we walked around the area.
Over at the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, the attraction’s exit and photo room also initiated a bright interaction.

The band flashes blue, aqua, purple, and red, and vibrates!
And if you ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, there’s a little interaction with your MagicBand+ there too!
Our band lit up orange and white, along with some haptic vibrations.
On to Animal Kingdom!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Attractions
Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers a little surprise as you exit, as well…
…with your MagicBand+ lighting up with jewel tones reminiscent of the bioluminescent flora and fauna of Pandora!
These are all of the rides we’ve seen interactions with so far — we’ll continue to update you as more rides interact with the new MagicBand+. In the meantime, check out some other features like bounty hunting in Batuu and interacting with statues. We’ve also got a full guide on how to set up your MagicBand+ and there are plenty of designs available online right now!

Have you bought a MagicBand+ yet? Let us know in the comments!
I did purchase a Magic Band+
The CM helped me set it up in the store!! Great!
I was able to collect some characters in Epcot later that day and yes it did interact with the fireworks!!! Loved it!!
The next day, I couldn’t get it to work the same way? It kept saying I needed to connect it??? I finally went to Guest Services in MK and they couldn’t figure it out either??? He gave e me a voucher to get a new one! He wasn’t sure why it wouldn’t connect and wasn’t working????
I went and got the new one and made sure it was fully charged before trying to set it up. I spent around 20-30 minutes trying to set it up, but kept having the same problem of getting it connected???
I decided to TURN OFF the WDW wifi and it Finally worked!!!
The CM that helped me set up the 1st one had me turn on the WDW wifi and initially it worked. The CM at Guest Services made sure the WDW wifi was on, but couldn’t get it to work.
Not using the WDW wifi allowed the Magic Band+ to work!!!! I didn’t have anymore trouble with it working with the WDW wifi Off.
That’s my recommendation, turn off the WDW wifi.
WDW Wi-Fi is a problem, always has been. They also suggest using it for Ride purchase and virtual Quique, but if t you do you are likely to never get your pass. Use the internet without Disney and your will get connected and get faster, more reliable servicer service. DO NOT USE DISNEY WI-FI for anything
If you have the Haunted Mansion band it goes off at the Lightning lane check in posts! Makes spooky noises!
Mine lit up white and would randomly vibrate all through the Haunted Mansion queue and ride.
The Magic Band Plus does a single large red dot and pulses like a heartbeat as you near the ride vehicles. The Band has a color scheme at the exit of Soarin’. There is an odd spot in the Frozen Ever After standby queue near the first building in the plaza area for some odd reason, but you need to be closer to the wall.
The color scheme after Soarin’ confused me so much the first time! I thought my MagicBand+ was broken.
I just went on the Haunted Mansion today at MK and after leaving the stretching room, my band started vibrating in a heartbeat pattern while pulsing red
In the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom my magic band lit up red and vibrated like a dying heartbeat before and after the ride. It was so cool!!
Magic band also lights up during Elsa’s singing ‘Let it Go’ in Frozen Ever After, it lights up white/aqua and purple!
My MagicBand+ glows every time there’s a Marine Life announcement during the preshow of Finding Nemo the Musical.
And it glowed blue in the Space Mountain tunnel!
