Looking for an experience that can take your Disney World vacation to the next level?
From backstage tours and VIP experiences to bike and boat rentals, there is plenty to do if you want a little bit more from your trip. Horse-drawn carriage rides are a special upgrade found at some of Disney’s Resort hotels, and now it just got even easier to book your equine ride!
If you’re looking for a romantic activity you can experience while on your Disney World vacation, or are looking for something just plain fun to do — we’ve got good news. Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides are now available to book in the My Disney Experience app!
Previously, the rides could only be booked in person, via phone, or on the Disney World website.
The rides are available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. Each ride is $55 and can seat up to two adults and three children, or up to four adults. Guests can expect a 25-minute carriage ride through the grounds of Port Orleans and might even catch some Florida wildlife at Fort Wilderness!
Horse-drawn carriage rides can sell out, so if you want to make sure you have the best chance of experiencing this extra, we’d recommend making your reservation as soon as possible — they can be made up to 60 days in advance. It’s also important to note that carriage rides are subject to cancellation if the weather is severe. Gotta keep those horses, Cast Members, and guests safe!
If you’re looking for some extra fun on your next Disney trip, head to the My Disney Experience app and book a horse-drawn carriage ride! And don’t forget to stay tuned to DFB for the latest news.

We surprised our teenage daughter with a ride while staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. We reserved at the front desk and walked next door for the ride. It was fun and we learned a lot about the horses at Disney World from our driver.
Now I’d just wish they’d do the same thing for mini golf, and horseback riding. Last year I waited on hold for two hours to book those!
