If you’ve been eyeing a Disney Vacation Club Membership, now may be a good time to join!
For those who don’t know, the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) is a “flexible timeshare that’s represented by Vacation Points.” Members then use those points to book hotel rooms in Disney World, rooms at other Disney-owned hotels (like Disney’s Vero Beach Resort), and more places. If that’s something you’re interested in, Disney recently announced a special DVC discount!
For DVC Memberships purchased from now until July 13th, you could save big if you purchase vacation points at Aulani, Disney’s Riviera Resort, or The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Here’s what you can save if you purchase Vacation Points at Aulani:
If you’re looking for something in Disney World, this is how much you could save on Vacation Points at Disney’s Riviera Resort:
For the Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, this is how much you could save with this deal:
Note that some DVC villas renovations have been going on at the Grand Floridian and some of the brand new Resort Studios have opened.
This special summer offer requires new purchasers to participate in a Resort sales tour (which can be done online or in person) and to buy an ownership interest in Aulani, Disney’s Riviera Resort, or The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa “equal to the amount of Vacation Points shown in the chart to receive the corresponding credit.”
How many points are required for your stay will vary on the size of the room, the hotel you choose to stay at, the length of your stay, and the time of year, among other factors. When you purchase your Disney Vacation Club Membership, you will select a “Home” resort, but you can use your Vacation Points at any of the eligible Disney Vacation Club hotels.
DVC members also get access to special perks, like discounts on Disney merchandise and some dining, as well as DVC Member-only merchandise and special events, such as the Moonlight Magic event, which has recently made its return to Disney World.
If you’re already a DVC Member, you can still get some great savings! Be sure to log into your account to view an add-on offer.

Unfortunately, being a DVC member is not as good as it once was. As the company (Disney) moves upscale, the perks be benefits that were once great, are what they used to be. The Great years for DVC were when Ken Potrock was in charge. Now, like everything else, it is getting to be to expensive to become a member. Alaini, and the Riviera DVC resorts are not selling well, the addition of the Villa’s to the Grand Floridian were slow selling and now the Polynesian Villas will continue to overload the system with high priced options. Oh well.
