Swim your way over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, because it’s a huge day for this park!

Tree of Life
The reimagined Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! show has officially opened! We say “officially” because guests were invited to view a soft opening over the past few days. And now that the Finding Nemo musical has officially launched, we’re seeing some Genie+ CHANGES that might affect how you watch the show.
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond has been added to Genie+! If you choose to buy Genie+ for your vacation (which costs $15 per person, per day), you can reserve a time to skip the line and head straight into this show. Lightning Lanes are available for every showtime. Once you reserve your spot, you can head to the Theater in the Wild at least 15 minutes before the show starts to redeem your reservation.
We booked our Lightning Lane for the 10:30AM showtime and were instructed (on the app) to be at the theater between 10AM and 10:15AM. When we arrived, we went to the Lightning Lane section and a couple of Cast Members scanned our MagicBands to make sure we had reserved a Lightning Lane.
Note that most attractions have touch points at the Lightning Lane entrances rather than Cast Members with portable scanners, so we might see those appear later on.
The theater didn’t have a specific Lightning Lane section inside — instead, guests who booked with Genie+ were the first ones in the theater and could choose to sit wherever they wanted. The middle sections near the front to about halfway back filled up first, and then the sides began to fill in.

If you’re planning on attending the reimagined show, expect to see a new, giant LED screen that acts as a backdrop, new pre-show announcements (similar to those at the Marine Life Institute in Finding Dory), and a new point of view!

DUDE!
This show might be very popular over the next few months especially since it was closed for so long. So, if you’ve added Genie+ to your ticket, consider grabbing a Lightning Lane to ensure you get a seat. And don’t forget, the showtimes are 10:30AM, 11:30AM, 12:30PM, 2:30PM, 3:30PM, and 4:30PM each day.
