There are so many great things to see in this park including new merchandise in the shops, delicious treats (well, food IS our thing), and the latest construction progress on new rides! It’s exhilarating every time! We also make note of everything new on each trip so we can invite you along with us. So here are the latest updates from Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates

Emporium

In the Emporium we found that this great 50th Anniversary Backpack is currently available for $29.99. This backpack itself is not new (it’s been around since the start of the 50th Anniversary) but if you hadn’t had the chance to grab it before, know that it is currently in stock in Magic Kingdom.

The same goes for this 50th Anniversary Minnie Mouse Ornament. It has been around since the start of the 50th Anniversary, but is currently available in Magic Kingdom so if you hadn’t had the chance to get it before we wanted to point out that it is currently available.

Star Traders

Who doesn’t love fun socks? How about these Carousel of Progress Socks that say “It’s A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow?”

We also found these PeopleMover Socks that say “Paging Mr. Tom Morrow” — if ‘ya know, you know!

Splash Down

If you need to dry off after riding Splash Mountain, you can grab a Minnie Mouse Beach Towel at the gift shop! It’s unclear how new this towel is to the parks but since it stood out to us during a recent visit we wanted to share it with you.

Magic Kingdom Attraction Updates

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is currently down for refurbishment, but the Cast Members have made the area in front of the ride a lot of fun by adding little messages on the pavement with tape. We couldn’t help but giggle at this one:

There was also a “Test Yer Skill” Ring Toss game…

…and even Hopscotch!

You gotta’ give Cast Members some credit for making a ride closure so fun!
