The D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is just a few months away!

The Expo will take place in September in Anaheim, California. We’ve already shared a look at some of the new merchandise that will be available there, pricing for tickets, details about the returning costume contest fans will get to participate in, and more! If you’re counting down the days to the start of this exciting expo, we’ve got good news. Select fans can start buying their tickets NOW!

While general tickets will go on sale to all D23 members (remember: you’ve got to be a D23 member to buy a ticket to the Expo this year) on January 20th, select fans can buy their tickets today (January 19th).

Today, January 19th, D23 is holding a special 24-hour pre-sale for Visa cardholders (Visa is one of the sponsors of the Expo this year).

During this pre-sale, D23 members who are also Visa cardholders can visit the D23 Expo website to buy their tickets before everyone else! Note that only D23 Gold Member tickets and D23 General Member tickets will be available during this pre-sale. The exclusive (and expensive) Hall D23 Preferred Seating option will NOT be available during the Visa pre-sale.

Once on the website, you’ll click the “buy tickets” link, which will take you to a designated waiting room area. When we first entered the waiting room it indicated that there were over 10,000(!!!!!) users ahead of us. WOW. That was when we first entered the site at around 12:08PM CT.

Just a few minutes later, our icon had moved along and slightly less people were ahead of us.

By 12:23PM CT, only about 2,000 guests were ahead of us in line. Note that once it is your turn, the site notes that you’ll have 10 minutes to enter the website.

After a few more minutes, we were in! The website showed the different ticket prices available, and select add-ons you could reserve like a fan bundle with merchandise items, a lanyard, pin, and more.

It then prompted D23 members to sign in to view eligible tickets. After signing in we were able to see that the adult 3-day tickets and the adult Saturday tickets were already SOLD OUT as part of the Visa pre-sale. Other tickets were still available.

UPDATE: ALL of the tickets for the Visa pre-sale for the D23 Expo have now sold out!

The website then shows a number of rules and regulations.

The 24-hour Visa pre-sale will end on January 20th, 2022 at 10AM PT. On January 20th at 12AM PT tickets will then go on sale to all guests.

Note that special terms and conditions apply for the pre-sale. Only a limited number of tickets are available, and the tickets for the Expo that are bought during the pre-sale must be purchased with a Visa card.
