It’s the holiday season! From Very Merriest After Hours to EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays, there’s been a ton of great things to enjoy in Disney World this year.
We’ve taken a look at the holiday crowds, the festivities, and all the delicious treats, but n0w let’s what the prices look like for Disney’s Individual Attraction Selection Lightning Lanes (A.K.A. pay-per-ride) prices!
When Disney Genie first debuted, it was announced that prices would be subject to change based on availability and time of year. We saw our first initial price surge back in October, with similar surge pricing continuing for busier days (such as weekends or holidays) ever since.
This change in pricing left many wondering just how high the prices could get during the holiday season! Well, for the 2021 season at least, it appears that those initial peak prices we saw have stuck around! Just as we saw during the weekends, as well as holidays such as Thanksgiving, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train went from a typical price of $10 to a raised price of $12 per person per ride.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, which was originally priced at $9, is currently $11 to get Lightning Lane access for this ride.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance continued to be priced the highest, with a cost of $15 for Lightning Lane access. This price has not changed since the debut of Genie+ back in October.
Avatar: Flight of Passage’s Lightning Lane, which is typically priced at about $11, was raised to $14 for the holidays.
During the holiday season, Disney also changed the status of four attractions, switching Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Expedition Everest from pay-per-ride to Genie+. Remember, pay-per-ride and Genie+ are separate services — you don’t have to purchase Genie+ to get those pay-per-ride Lightning Lanes, they are a separate, a la carte cost.
Meanwhile, Genie+ costs $15 per person per day and features Lightning Lane access to about 50 different attractions right now. The cost of Genie+ will not experience any forms of surge pricing and instead will have a more consistent price point compared to pay-per-ride attractions.
