EPCOT is currently undergoing a massive transformation that includes new rides, lands, restaurants, and more!
Future World has been divided into 3 new neighborhoods, there is a brand new flagship store in the park, and we’re getting closer to the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Part of the transformation is EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular, Harmonious, which debuted recently for Disney World’s 50th anniversary. We’ve checked out the show several times since opening night, and, agree there are some viewing locations that are better than others! Here are the best and worst locations to view Harmonious in EPCOT!
Worst
Let’s start with the bad. There are many places around the World Showcase that aren’t great for viewing Harmonious (but, don’t worry, there’s a lot of good ones too!). With the screens used in the show playing such a prominent role, your viewing angle can greatly impact your experience.
Obviously, if you’re trying to watch from deep within one of the showcase pavilions, you’re not going to see much! So, you better decide beforehand if you should wait in line for Frozen Ever After or watch the show instead.
We’re going to go around the showcase counter-clockwise, so we’re starting in Canada.
The Canada viewing areas around the World Showcase Lagoon are pretty good, unless you get stuck near a large tree!
So, just make sure you’re in between the trees so you have a good viewing window.
Over closer to the U.K. pavilion, you’ll also want to look out for those large poles that are spread around the showcase. It’ll be hard to see the screens a bit if you’re standing behind one of these!
Now let’s move over to France where you can usually find characters like Belle down by the water — this is a bad spot. There are too many trees, you’re too far away, and there are islands in front of the barges!
And, if you try to view the show from a little bit further back, you’ll be very blocked out by trees.
Another place nearby that’s terrible for viewing the show is near the dock of the boat that goes to Future World. The dock is in the way, the loading zone is in the way, the islands are in the way…it’s a no from us.
And, just when you think you get a clear view, it’s blocked by a large island.
Between Morocco and Japan, there is the area below where, which you might be able to catch a decent view from if you get the perfect spot, but we wouldn’t make this your designated spot to try and watch the show. It’s far away and there’s too much in front of you!
Basically, most spots in this area to the left side of the torii (the big red archway in Japan) aren’t good places to watch Harmonious.
In Italy, there is an amazinggg spot to watch the show from, EXCEPT if you’re standing behind these polls in the water. There are so many of them!! How ever will you be able to see Moana on the screens if you’re standing here?
Also, standing behind the bridge to the patio near the water area isn’t good either. There aren’t any good windows, especially not when there’s a bunch of people standing in front of you.
The same goes for standing behind the flowers right here. Too much space in front of you for people to fill up and block your view.
Continuing our walk around World Showcase, we come to the area between Germany and China in front of Refreshment Outpost. This is a horrible view! The island is completely blocking the view of the barges.
We don’t wanna watch Disney animation through trees, thank you very much. ?
And it’s not better as you move toward China either, thanks to that giant island.
Watch out for the trees over here too, they’re big and obstructive! Unless you’re RIGHT down on the water, you likely will miss out on lots.
Great for shade, bad for watching fireworks.
Standing at the front entrance of World Showcase near Port of Entry may seem like a great place to see the show, and it usually is, but not if you’re standing back too far! You gotta get closer.
Okay, now that we’ve covered where you should NOT watch the show, let’s talk about where you should!
Best
Many of the restaurants on the World Showcase Lagoon are great for watching the fireworks, like La Hacienda de San Angel…
…and Rose & Crown Dining Room!
But, you gotta make sure you’re eating at those restaurants around fireworks time, so let’s look at some places to stand around the showcase that are great for watching the show! We’ll start in Canada again, to keep things consistent. If you can get between the trees or on the other side of them, you can get a great view!
This area is especially good for watching the show, but it will fill up quick, so stake out a spot a bit early.
Check out that view!
Moving closer to the U.K., this is a fantastic spot to watch the show, and it is reserved for guests with disabilities.
Those guests are allowed to wait for the show in this area starting at 8PM.
Behind Rose & Crown on either the right or left sides is also a good spot for seeing Harmonious!
Then, moving out to the area between the U.K. and France (near the bridge) there is a large patio space where you can watch the show.
This is a good spot because there is a lot of room, but that island does creep in a little, so make sure you’re to the left of it!
To the right of the torii in Japan, you can get an awesome view of the barges!
There are a lot of areas between the trees where you could get a good look at the show.
Then, out on the patio in Italy is an AMAZING spot to stand!
Look at those clear views!
The area is also very big, so there’s lots of space to fill. Plus the center ring on the barges is almost dead on, making this a slam dunk location.
In front of Germany, there is another great spot reserved for people with disabilities.
Here is the view!
There is also this spot in Germany that juts out into the water which will give you a nice look at the show (but get there early!).
Even from the side, before you get to that pesky island, it’s a good view!
And then, there’s a round area that has a solid view as well.
We don’t really get another good view until we’re near Norway!
There is a lot of wide open, tree-free room here.
And this whole stretch between Norway and Mexico is a prime place to watch the show.
A great way to see what’s on the screens!
There are also good views between the Mexico pavilion area and where the festival booth for Mexico is located.
And, of course, probably the BEST place to watch the show from is up close at the front of the World Showcase!
This area is very large and will give you a great view of the screens and the fireworks.
There are also two areas over here that are reserved for people with disabilities.
There you have it — the best and worst places to watch Harmonious from in EPCOT. Basically, avoid the massive island in the back of World Showcase and watch out for those pesky trees. We hope this helped you get your bearings and a clearer idea of what views you can expect when planning out your viewing spots! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney tips, news, and updates.

WE KNOW DISNEY.
YOU CAN, TOO.

Oh boy, planning a Disney trip can be quite the adventure, and we totally get it! But fear not, dear friends, we compiled EVERYTHING you need (and the things to avoid!) to plan the ULTIMATE Disney vacation.
Whether you're a rookie or a seasoned pro, our insider tips and tricks will have you exploring the parks like never before. So come along with us, and get planning your most magical vacation ever!
Where is your favorite spot to watch Harmonious? Let us know in the comments!
1. Do any of the “best” views, for example the open patios along the railings in Italy have viewing dessert parties that would prevent a good view.
2. For Illuminations the best location was of course, front and center between the two gift shops entering world showcase. But then, they started to block off up close to the railing for corporate events guests and the like. Does this hold true with Harmonious as well?
Ken, my understanding is that there aren’t regularly-scheduled dessert parties in the section of Italy that you referenced. Of course, Disney could use that space to parties or other uses and put a damper on that view at any time. As for the space at the top (or bottom?) of World Showcase: we were able to watch from there, but, again, Disney could utilize that space at any time and make it inaccessible.
Interesting. Not only are these huge eyesores out in a very nice lagoon, but it sounds like what with all the trees, buildings, poles, and bridges in the way that viewing is limited. Whose idea was this, anyway?
This sure was a long article.
Here. Let me re-write it for you.
The worst place to try and watch the New EPCOT’s worst End-Of-Night show EVER… Uh, I mean HarmoniUS, is anywhere that is NOT straight on from the front of the Stargate, Or secondly, from the rear of the Stargate.
If you sit anywhere else, you see nothing of interest.
The end.
You’re welcome DFB
I’ll await my residules
We went to Spice Road Table to get a good view from the patio. At showtime, most of the other patrons got up to stand at the rail, blocking our view. Very rude!
Thank you for your detailed recommendations! We grabbed a spot by UK next to the disability seating area and had an awesome view with just one treetop to the side that we barely noticed when the show started.
MW, so glad our tips helped!
Can you see the show from Disney Springs?
Hi Christina, due to the way Harmonious is set up on screens in the middle of the lake with barges, you wouldn’t be able to see the show from Disney Springs.
Can you still grab a table on the left of Rose and Crown? is that a decent spot to view?
Thanks
How do you reserve a spot in the ADA area? Do we need to bring ADA paperwork? My placard will be used for the car.
We really don’t like the show and we really HATE the giant Star Gate/ oil rigs killing the views and vibe of the lagoon.
Which restaurant with a dinner and show package has the best view?
Disney now sells a special dining package for the outdoor tables at the left of the rose and crown. Used to be hit or miss to snag a table on the patio.
