Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, AKA the Star Wars hotel, is set to open in March of 2022 at Walt Disney World!
The experience is going to be like no other. Your 2-day, 2-night stay on the Starcruiser will be completely immersive, with you getting to interact with characters, train with a lightsaber, and play games like sabacc. Not to mention, you’ll go on an excursion to Galaxy’s Edge! Spots on the ship are expected to be in high demand, but some groups get to book their stay EARLY starting today!
You can make reservations RIGHT NOW for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser if you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member or an Annual Passholder!
That’s right! These two groups are eligible to book a reservation at the Star Wars hotel from today, Thursday, October 7th, through Saturday, October 9th. Reservations will not open to the general public until October 28th.
The very first voyage will take off from Walt Disney World on March 1st, 2022, so this pre-sale is an opportunity to be some of the first people to experience the new hotel. Reservations are limited during this pre-sale window, and we DO expect them to go fast, so don’t wait if you want to book a trip!
Booking is for voyages March 1st, 2022 through May 4th, 2022 (Star Wars Day). To book, you have to call Disney at 407-939-5277 — bookings can only be done over the phone. But, you should also receive an email from Disney with a different phone number and your unique code number as a DVC Member or Annual Passholder to use to book your reservation. If you do not, the booking agent should be able to find your code over the phone. Here is a look at example pricing released by Disney:
We called right at 7AM this morning and were put on hold as we were transferred to the Starcruiser booking team. We were told our wait time was less than 11 minutes, however we waited for over an hour. There was also no hold music or anything on the line, just silence, so don’t hang up if that happens to you as well — you’re still on the line! When we called from a separate line a little after 8AM, we were told the current wait time was more than 2 hours.
Once we got through with the first call, it had been about 1 hour and 20 minutes since we first dialed. Our booking agent told us the Captain’s Table on the ship was already booked before today’s reservations even opened, likely due to Club 33 and Golden Oak being able to book earlier this week.
The booking agent then told us about the cancelation policy for the Starcruiser. A 20% deposit of the full amount is due at booking, and the full payment has to be made 90 days out. You CAN cancel your trip prior to 90 days out. They recommend travel protection at $82.50 per person that will cover multiple cancellation reasons, and you have 14 days from the day you book to cancel that protection if you buy it. If you cancel your trip 89-31 days out, you lose half of the full amount you paid, and if you cancel 30 days or less, you lose the full amount.
We’ll keep you updated on everything about the new Star Wars hotel, so stay tuned to DFB for more!

Really mad at Disney. I’m an AP holder and never got the email with the link to try and reserve
We called 1 second after the 7:00am and got a recording saying all pass holders reservations were already full! Not sure how you didn’t get that!
Jealous of your good luck–I called in right at 7am and have been on hold the whole time. It took an hour to reach the first agent, and now it’s been three hours of silence. There’s been no email the whole time either, so it’s pretty nerve-wracking. Just hoping I’m not in some sort of queue limbo…
We called right at 7, were placed on hold for over 2 hrs and then told that bookings were suspended due to call volume and check back in 6 hrs. Huge bummer!
Wow. You were lucky. We are DVC members and called the DVC line, which didn’t open until 9 am. I called over 200 times, many times I had to enter LOTS of information (using the phone keys), only to get cut off. Continued to call through 2 pm, finally got in a queue and I’m STILL on hold. It’s been 4 hours and the message just said estimated wait was 134 more minutes. But that doesn’t mean much because over 2 hours ago, the estimated time was 157 minutes. Sigh. I’m about to give up.
We are passholders and DVC members. Called the number given on a site, not PH or DVC email. Called on the 8th, Got the “high call volume not taking reservations at this time” message. Tried 2 more times ( about an hour apart each time. ). Then tried one more time, mid afternoon. Got through ! Said wait time was 10 minutes! That was for the pre-reservation information. Then she said she was going to switch me over to reservations…”wait time wouldn’t be too long.” It was 3 hours! But…we got the cabin we wanted, on the day we wanted. ( no, not Captains table, but that was ok!). Point to all this is the folks who didn’t get emails they thought they were shouldn’t worry…all is not lost. We were a whole day late…got though eventually, and got a reservation. Only complaint here is the dead line…no static, no songs, no heavy breathing to let us know SOMEBODY was there!?
It took us all day but we have our reservation!!! Woohoo!! Batuu here we come!!
As a big fan of Disney we are very much looking forward to be able to visit again next year now that we are finally able to visit the USA from England. We joined DVC in 1997 as we visited every year anyway. My wife and I were Disney fans from childhood and looked forward to movies being shown on every public holiday in cinemas and Disneytime on TV too. Also I had a photo of my auntie outside Disneyland in the 50’s soon after opening (she married a guy in the USAF during WW2 and moved to California) never imagining I would ever be able to go! SO we must just say how disappointed we are with the extortionate price increases to park stuff such as the charges for fast pass replacements. A word to the wise people at Disney – hey guess what we’ve ALL had a rough time the last couple of years and everyone has paid the cost. The last thing we need is you trying to recoup the loss of revenue by ripping off all your VERY loyal customers. Walt must be spinning in his grave. We all know business is there to make a profit but you are taking a big risk here with your fanbase. Don’t take everyone for granted on you may get a BIG surprise. Here’s my message to all our fellow Disney fans. DON’T PAY FOR THESE LIGHTNING LANE RIP OFFS – USE STANDBY. If nobody pays the policy will be reversed. And here’s my message to Disney – YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WE LOVE DISNEY AND WE SHALL ALWAYS COME BACK BUT WE’VE ALREADY PAID A BIG PRICE THESE LAST FEW YEARS SO PLAY YOUR PART AND SUCK IT UP!!
Disney’s ethics are about money and creative situations that hit emotions of people to spend what they don’t have or should be saving for their future needs.
Be smart and conservative.
