We LOVE Disney World Cast Members.
Seriously, these people make all the magic happen. Today especially, with all the craziness in the parks, we’re grateful for their kindness, patience, and joy. And we’re SO EXCITED that now there’s an official way to show Cast Members we appreciate them!
In the past, we’ve found ways to show our Cast Member love with things like #CastCompliment on social media. You could say thank you to specific Cast Members by sharing a post with that hashtag.
But now Disney has made it even easier to give out Cast Member compliments, with a new page on the app dedicated just to that!
If you go to your My Disney Experience app, you’ll find a new section for sharing Cast Member appreciation. On that page, you can enter why you want to thank the Cast Member and where they’re working so that they can be recognized for their amazing work.
We’re so glad that it’s even easier to give all our favorite Cast Members some love now! On your own vacation, make sure to take a second and thank the people that bring all the magic to the Disney parks. 🙂
Keep following DFB, and we’ll let you know about all the Disney updates!

Do you have any stories about amazing Cast Members? Tell us in the comments!
I tried using this during my last trip, and it’s useless. You can only select a generic compliment, the (in my instance) resort, and the department. Nothing else. You can’t give the cast member’s name, the exact location where they work, or even a description of the reason you’re complimenting them! It’s absolutely pointless!
Thank you for posting this information. I have written email notes to managers of Disney resorts, restaurants, etc. All my notes were sharing positive and compliments about their staff. Each should be recognized for quality services.
Unfortunately, the managers don’t seem to care as my emails are not recognized! What’s happened to the magical touch of Disney!
Totally agree. It’s completely worthless. If I am going to give a complement it’s to a single person for a specific reason.
This app feature is almost an insulte to guests and cast members.
This would be awesome if it actually worked. I had a cast member diffuse an argument between my wife and I by offering up an impromptu fast pass. That man saved my day ..
I used it for someone who was amazing at guest services on the phone. I wish I could have given her name and what she did to help.
You actually are able to list their name, home city, and where exactly they work. I did this for Esther at Bell Services at the Grand Floridian. I wish there were a option to write something, but I went to Twitter and did that as well. ?
