When Disney World reopened last summer after the closures, many things did not return with it.
Things like FastPass+, the Disney Dining Plan, and Extra Magic Hours were stopped, some indefinitely. Disney announced earlier this summer that a version of Extra Magic Hours would be coming back — Extended Evening Hours. The two are similar, but have some major differences. For example, while Extra Magic Hours were available to all Disney World hotel guests, Extended Evening Hours can only be used by guests at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts. We already have some of the dates for the extended hours in October, but we just got even MORE!
Two more dates were added for Extended Evening Hours in October! On Monday, October 25th, guests can enjoy extended hours at EPCOT from 10PM-midnight and on Wednesday, October 27th, guests can enjoy extra hours at Magic Kingdom from 9PM-11PM!
Here’s a refresher of who qualifies for these Extended Evening Hours:
Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Other Disney Hotels
- Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
- Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
- Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
- Shades of Green at Walt Disney World
To take advantage of Extended Evening Hours, guests need to have a valid ticket or Annual Pass and a park reservation for the date of the extended hours. If your ticket/pass allows you to park hop, you don’t need a reservation for the park with the Extended Evening Hours, as long as you first go to the park you have reserved for that day beforehand.
Remember that not all attractions, stores, or food locations will be open during these extended hours, so you might not be able to do everything you can during normal operating hours. Stay tuned to DFB for more updates!

Personally, I know they ar bing ery conservative about Extra Magic Hours, or the extended hours benefit, by limitini to deluxe and deluxe villa guests, but this sucks. Paying over $1700, not including the airfare or meals, for a value resort room and tickets for a week is getting to out of hand. Used to love the added benefits forstaying on-site. I think I may start stayig off-site on my next trip, if tbeydon’t stop raising prices and slashing benefits for guests…
