Hello from Magic Kingdom!

Our fantastic DFB reporters are constantly stopping into the parks and resorts to see what’s new there. During the past few days, a brand new Halloween event has officially begun in Magic Kingdom, we spotted some new reasons why you might want to look UP while in the park, and more. Come along with us to see what’s new in Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

In terms of construction, we’ve continued to see work being done at Big Top Souvenirs.

There are a number of other construction projects going on throughout the park. We can’t wait to see everything once it’s all finished.

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates

Uptown Jewelers

A few days ago, we spotted a number of Marvel Loungefly bags in Uptown Jewelers. During another one of our recent visits, we also spotted a Captain America Loungefly Bag at this store.

We have a feeling Marvel fans will feel extra heroic with this collection of bags.

Magic Kingdom General Updates

Disney After Hours Boo Bash

In terms of general updates, this week Magic Kingdom officially held its first After Hours Boo Bash Halloween event. Those who purchase a ticket to and attend the event will have the chance to ride select attractions, get free candy, get free popcorn and other snacks, enjoy spooky projections, and more.

We shared all kinds of photos and videos from our experience at the event, and have even compiled all of our thoughts as to whether Boo Bash is worth the cost.

Boo Bash will continue to take place on select nights from now through October 31st, 2021.

Attraction News

While we were at Magic Kingdom, we stopped by Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. There, we spoke to a Cast Member about some of the interactive portions of the queue.

The Cast Member noted most of the interactive items don’t work. But, if you want to give them a try you can check them out during your next visit.

During our time at Boo Bash, we hopped on Splash Mountain and at one point we got stuck on the ride temporarily and the work lights came on. It’s interesting to see Disney World attractions with different lighting when these things happen!

Also, during Boo Bash we noticed that one side of Space Mountain appeared to be closed.

That’s just something to be aware of if you attend the event.

Main Street, U.S.A.

This week, we also discovered a few more reasons why you might want to look UP while walking down Main Street, U.S.A.

Cast Members who have made a large impact on the Disney Company are sometimes granted the high honored of receiving a window on Main Street with their name on it.

This past week, 4 Cast Members received windows honoring their work for the company.
