Unexpected things do happen on vacations, and this week the center of a few mishaps has been at the airports.
Many major airlines have been experiencing huge delays and cancelations recently, causing travel to become more unpredictable than usual. Just yesterday, Spirit Airlines even canceled 22 of its flights from Orlando. However, these problems have continued through today as well.
Click Orlando News has reported that Spirit Airlines is experiencing its third day in a row of major flight disruptions, as around 3,000 flights have been delayed or canceled of August 3rd.
Many factors can play into this, but reports suggest that the flight schedules have experienced these issues due to storms that interfered with crews as well. Click Orlando News has also shared that the 3,000 flights affected equates to nearly 40% of Spirit’s schedule, according to FlightAware‘s aviation tracking.
So, if you plan on traveling soon through Spirit Airlines or other carriers, you might want to consider the fact that major delays or cancelations could occur during your travels. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with more details before your next vacation. Stay tuned with DFB for the latest Disney entertainment and news.

No surprise, Spirit is the worst rated low budget airline out there. So you get what you pay for.
Spirit Airline should be a shame of them selves there is no reason for the company to do this to there customers . I went to Disney this July we had a delay at Newark International from Newark to Orlando it took 6 hours . They had to clean the plane I know it takes time first to last planes delayed but we got to Orlando . Coming back no delay that was great I think it was on time . The Spirit Company has to make good to there customers .
