We’re firmly in the summertime at Disney World, so you’ll need to be thinking about the weather when you plan.

Storm Clouds!
Summer in Orlando brings with it a whole SLEW of weather-based difficulties. From hot temperatures to afternoon downpours, to HURRICANES; you’ll have your hands full trying to stay comfortable if you’re not prepared. We’re here to help with an update on the weather in Disney World next week!
Weather Forecast
Next week is going to be an interesting one as there’s a chance we’ll see Hurricane Elsa pass over Orlando. Even if it doesn’t end up directly over Disney World, you’ll probably still see the effects when you’re in the parks!

Magic Kingdom
We’ve been seeing almost-daily heavy showers and, as you might guess, that’s not likely to change with a big storm heading our way. According to The Weather Channel, we should stay ready for warm and rainy days!
July 5th
Monday, July 5th will start the week with warmer temperatures for the week. Don’t expect too much variation from day to day! It’s going to be warm, but not crazy hot. Monday is going to max out at an 88-degree high and we’ll see 75 degrees at night.

Monday kicks off with some scattered showers and storms AND an extreme UV index. That’s why it’s so important to wear that sunscreen even if you’re seeing clouds!
July 6th
The next day, July 6th brings us a slightly cooler forecast to the day before with a high of 85 degrees during the day and keeping that low down at 75 degrees.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be the most heavily impacted by the storm. Expect winds and KEEP AN EYE ON THAT FORECAST. It could change drastically as we learn more about Hurricane Elsa.
July 7th
On Wednesday, July 7th, we’re going to see temps hang out in the same place at 86 degrees during the day. Your low is going to stick with 75 degrees.

We should see some clearing up of the rain in the evening hours here. But remember, these days could have SUPER fickle predictions with that storm moving through.
July 8th
For Thursday, July 8th, we’re seeing a day that is slightly warmer. Expect temps in the high-80s and a beautiful evening at 74 degrees.

It looks like Tuesday will be the one day with drastically high winds, but that rain chance stays notable throughout the week.
July 9th
The week continues with a mostly sunny day for once! We’ll see high-80s in the day and a mid 70s night on July 9th.

Keep in mind that these days that have rain in the forecast don’t necessarily guarantee you’ll see precipitation, but it is likely! Still, you COULD get lucky and dodge the showers later in the week.
July 10th
Saturday, July 10th brings us the warmest temps of the week with a high in the high-80s. You could see some rain on Saturday too!

©The Weather Channel
Here, we’ll see an 89-degree high and a 75-degree low.
July 11th
And we’ll wrap up our week on July 11th with the same temperatures as the prior day and (Can you believe it!?) a potentially rainless forecast!

If we can manage to stay dry at least one full day, we’ll consider that a win.
Overview of the Week
Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week. We’re looking at a range of 80s highs and 70s lows.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!
We’ve got you covered with some tips to help you out with next week’s weather!
How to be ready for a BIG storm in Disney World!
Rain is a pretty common occurrence during Florida summer, so we typically recommend carrying a rain layer like a poncho or rain jacket. But there are a few other things to keep in mind when we’re dealing with hurricanes or tropical storms.

Siiiinging in the raaaaaain
Hurricane Elsa is currently classified as a Category 1 storm, but that could change! If the weather poses danger to guests, Disney will react accordingly.
6 tips for planning a trip during hurricane season in Disney World!
You may see ride closures and Disney has even closed the entire parks in the past for more severe hurricanes. Be ready to deal with rain, but also go in with flexible expectations! Remember, Cast Members want your stay to be magical — and part of that comes with keeping you safe.

Stay dry and cool.
Whether the storm is super severe or ends up bringing over some passing rain, you’re going to want to do what you can to stay dry and cool in the parks next week. Just because it’s rainy, doesn’t mean it’s not HOT.

Sunscreen
Stay hydrated and take breaks when you need to! Plus, when you’re wearing sunscreen (because you SHOULD be wearing sunscreen), you’ll need to consider reapplying when you’re caught in a shower.
