Disney World might be the Most Magical Place on Earth, but technical difficulties and ride evacuations can still happen!
Today, as we were walking past Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom we noticed that things looked a bit different. Instead of floating around like usual, the boats were actually being evacuated! Ever wonder what an evacuation looks like on Splash Mountain? We’re sharing it all with you here!
Of course, we weren’t able to see the entirety of the ride, but here’s a look at what the evacuation was like from what we could see. Over on one side of the attraction, guests were being evacuated from their boats.
You can see some the Cast Members assisting some guests as they move from the boats to the platform nearby.
Over at another part of the ride, we could also see guests being evacuated.
Cast Members were walking through, speaking with guests…
…and escorting other guests to the exit areas.
Check out the video below of part of the evacuation process.

I was evacuated from Splash Mountain on the inside. It was at the part where Br’er Bear was on his back rolling around. We were there for about 20 mins before they turned off the sound. It’s a little trickier to get out of the boat inside, but was still neat to see the “behind the scenes” areas where only CMs are allowed. We even got an empty boat pic from our Photo Pass when the ride started moving again. I’m sad that I missed the drop, but it was still an experience.
