This week was another pretty big week in terms of Disney news!
We’ve got an important Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover update, BIG news about the 2021 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and much more! Buckle up, we’re going through the 6 TOP Disney stories from this week that you need to know about!
1. Food & Wine Festival Updates!
The Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival might not be over yet, but the Food & Wine Festival is already getting ready to take over EPCOT. This week, we got some BIG updates. First — Disney shared the dates when the Food & Wine Festival will take place. Spoiler alert: it’s starting VERY early again! The Festival will begin on July 15th!!
We also learned about 5 booths that are CONFIRMED to be coming to the Festival. Also returning to this year’s Festival is Remy’s scavenger hunt, the cheese crawl ?, and some entertainment. In just a few short months, we’ll be able to enjoy this Festival to the fullest and we cannot wait!

2. MagicMobile is Live
Ready to turn your phone into your MagicBand? Well, if you own an Apple device, you should be able to set up MagicMobile now! We previously saw MagicMobile roll out for select Apple devices, but this week it went LIVE for all Apple devices. It is set to roll out to Android devices later this year.
What will you be able to do with MagicMobile? Well, it’ll let you use a pass, set up through your phone, to enter the theme parks, connect PhotoPass photos, and more. You can check out our step-by-step guide to setting up MagicMobile HERE. Keep in mind that you can still use your MagicBand (as many of our readers have indicated they want to do), but now you’ll have the option of using your phone instead for select things.

3. The Spotlights Are BACK!
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, things are looking a little different at the Chinese Theatre. Not too long ago, we shared that the Theatre would be getting a new nighttime look and that those classic spotlights would once again light up the sky. Well, recently we spent some time in Hollywood Studios in the evening and got to see that those iconic spotlights are BACK!
Now the Theatre is looking more spectacular than ever! Keep in mind this isn’t the only change coming to a Hollywood Studios icon. As part of the 50th Anniversary, the Tower of Terror will also be getting a new nighttime look. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates on that, but be sure to look up and around the next time you’re near the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood Studios at night.

4. Magic Kingdom Is Looking Different!
Over at Magic Kingdom, QUITE a few things are looking different. Recently, the Main Street Confectionery closed for a lengthy refurbishment. You can check out more details about the new look the Confectionery will be getting HERE!
But, don’t panic! While the Confectionery is closed, you can still get lots of sweets and treats at Main Street Cinema.
Where are the items from Main Street Cinema you ask? Well, some of them have now become available over at Bonjour Gifts.
If you’re searching for hats and Mickey ears, you’ll find that The Chapeau on Main Street, U.S.A. is also closed at the moment for refurbishment. But, you can head to Box Office Gifts at the Town Square Theater for all your hat needs!
Basically, it’s musical chairs over in Magic Kingdom at the moment!
Aside from those refurbishments, we’ve also seen new paint and details added to the beloved Tangled restrooms…
…and some new paint added to some areas in Fantasyland.
AND the Castle transformation is still underway, but this week the final draperies were added to the Castle. More details will continue to be added in the coming weeks.
Looks like Magic Kingdom is undergoing quite the transformation ahead of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!

5. BIG Food & Drink News!
This week we also got some exciting food news!! In Disney World, 15 NEW treats are coming — many of which are related to the Earth Month celebrations going on in Animal Kingdom.
We even got the chance to try a few recently including an Insta-worthy drink, a drink that basically tasted like we were having cotton candy in liquid form, and a drink that featured the cotton candy and frozen Coke combo we never knew we needed!
But, those aren’t the only new things we got to try recently. We also found a BRAND NEW treat in Disney World that is a twist on a Disneyland classic. Introducing the Everest Base Camp Macaroon! It’s a new take on the classic Disneyland Matterhorn Macaroon, and we have to say we were TRULY satisfied!
Unless you absolutely HATE coconut, we have a feeling this is a treat you might want to try!

Over in Disneyland, we got big drink news. Earlier this week, Disney shared that another location will soon be serving alcohol in Disneyland — Blue Bayou Restaurant.
This is a pretty big deal considering that just a few years ago Oga’s Cantina became the first spot in Disneyland to sell alcohol outside of Club 33. We’ll definitely keep an eye out for more updates from Disneyland as its reopening date approaches.

OH and recently we got to try one of Disney’s most controversial snacks — a PICKLE(!!) corn dog in Disneyland!
And yes, that is a hot dog inside of a pickle all covered up in panko. And it’s served with a packet of peanut butter. WHAT?!

6. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover News ?
Well, friends, we half expected that we’d be here again and…here we are. The PeopleMover was most recently set to reopen on April 4th and we were crossing our fingers and our toes that it would come true. But, alas, it was not meant to be. The PeopleMover refurbishment has now been extended once again!
Oh, how we miss the PeopleMover. We’ve seen it testing recently so we’re hopeful that it will reopen soon, but we’ll keep an eye out for more updates.
