We are beyond excited about all the upgrades happening around Disney World for the big 50th anniversary celebration that starts later this year (and lasts until 2023!!!).
A Beautiful Sight at Magic Kingdom!
And it’s going to be QUITE the party, and the whole resort is getting a glow-up so it can look its best for when the celebration begins. Not only is EPCOT going through a massive transformation, but all four parks will see some special effects added to their icons.
And the most iconic buildings in all of Disney World — aka Cinderella Castle — has already been repainted, with work continuing on it to add some fancy “draperies” to its walls. And as of last night, that part of the castle’s makeover is complete. And BOY, does she look beautiful!
SO PRETTY
Imagineer Zach Riddley confirmed that the team has already installed the “final dramatic draperies” (okay, cool term). And they really are quite dramatic!
DRAMATIC.
He also confirmed that the next step of the castle’s makeover is adding “majestic swirls” of golden ribbons to its roofs. ✨ Why gold? Well, not only is it VERY royal, but gold is also the traditional gift for 50th anniversaries. Even Fantasyland is getting a golden glow-up!
