EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival begins next week, and we’re getting very excited!
Belle and Beast topiaries
We’ve been checking out the list of all the activities, deciding on our list of must-dos. Many of the topiaries and floral decorations have already shown up in the park, and we’ve been admiring them and sharing photos with all of you. This morning, we finally got some additional details on the festival as the food booth menus dropped. On top of the menu announcement, Disney also shared details regarding the return of EPCOT concerts.
Concerts have been on pause in EPCOT since the closures. Instead, groups like Voices of Liberty and Mariachi Cobre have been performing at the America Gardens Theatre.
But that’s about to change. For the 2021 Flower and Garden Festival, local bands from Orlando will be performing concerts in the America Gardens Theatre. Orlando is known as the “City Beautiful” and these “City Beautiful” bands will be taking the stage in the evenings to perform classic songs from the past and present.
American Gardens Theatre
According to Disney, “Each weekend, you can enjoy a series of concerts featuring local bands from Orlando, also known as the “City Beautiful.” Friday through Monday evenings, these “City Beautiful” bands will take the stage at America Gardens Theatre to perform popular songs of yesterday and today.”
We typically get the Garden Rocks concert series to go along with this festival, but this offering will replace that series this year. We’re eager to hear some new live music in EPCOT and we’re hoping this may set the stage for us to see the usual concerts return in the future.
